I'll admit that I knew the twist in advance since I only began watching Bleach a couple months ago, but I will say that the foreshadowing was there from the beginning: The way he would drop the façade whenever something serious happened or he needed to have a heartfelt conversation with Ichigo, him never referring to Kon-Inside-Ichigo's-Body as Ichigo, and Urahara being certain that Ichigo had his own soul reaper powers even though humans aren't supposed to be able to have their own soul reaper powers; the foreshadowing was subtle, but it was there.

@@starraptor3817 It wasn't the Quincy power he had at the time, Ywach even states that the only reason Ichigo even got out of Quilge's prison is cuz he exhausted all of his Soul Reaper power and forcibly awakened his Quincy powers and that prison cannot hold a Quincy. It was merely his Quincy side limiting the amount of power he could use and taking over as Ichigo's zanpakto spirit while keeping White under control. Blue Getsuga=no hollow power, Black getsuga=Hollow Powers. That simple.

I was noticing that. Kubo does a fantastic job of making related characters look eerily alike once you realize what you're looking at. I remember thinking it was just the style when the show first came out. But after 20 years and reading the manga, you realize that yes, it is style, but the similarities are deliberate. Still incredible to think that he has had distinct ideas of each character's proportions and expressions at each stage in their life. Even if some of it was retroactive or happy accidents, it's done really well.

One of the main differences being that Ichigo immediately threw Rukia to Renji like a volleyball. Honestly, overall, I find this scene more reminiscent of Ichigo saving Orihime in the Hueco Mundo arc; both scenes even involve saving them from a hollow.

Looking at them, you really see who gets what from who, looks-wise in the Kurosaki family. Yuzu looks more like Masaki, Karin is almost the spitting image of Isshin, but female, and Ichigo gets a bit from both. He's got Isshin's eye and jaw shape, and more of Masaki's nose and mouth shape. *SPOILERS* And at the end of the series in the future as a grown adult, Ichigo starts to look a bit more like Isshin did during his time as a Captain, but with orange hair.

TBH, everything about Ichigo's powerset is basically 100% unprecedented. Until TYBW he doesn't even *have* a real Zanpakuto and isn't a real shinigami, so it's entirely possible that the various different powersets inside of him just copied the most familiar source of Shinigami reiatsu when making one up for him. Given the nature of Bleach, where 'studying their spiritual energy' can make you immune to anything someone does, it's probably a thing that could happen.

So , basically , Inner Yhwach used scraps of White's power within Ichigo and Ichigo's Quincy power to bring a makeshift Bankai and makeshift FGT.

Not sure if this true since I don't think Kubo has ever said why, but I think it's that Isshin gave up his Shinigami powers to seal away White and save Masaki, with White then getting passed on to Ichigo while Masaki was pregnant with him, and since White formed his Zanpaktou spirit, Isshin's powers probably also did the same, and then Ichigo got taught how to do it from Old Man Zangetsu, although I think he did a few times before that, but he got taught the name of it from him anyway.

It's worth remembering that *right* until the TYBW arc, Ichigo isn't a real shinigami and doesn't have a real zanpakuto. Everything about what he is is completely unprecedented. It's entirely possible that his powers just copied his dad's.
