I would have loved watching this live. Julie singing "not her standard songs" is amazingly awesome. The power of her voice, used as a different vehicle, Sondheim lyrics are complex and Julie's voice + her exceptional understanding of emotions make this performance heart wrenching and emotional. Her face showing all those feelings... and still, the smooth sound of her voice breaking those emotions. Dame Julie Andrews is exceptionally great!

(Mostly) hate Sondheim. (With a few notable exceptions, I think he's mostly emperor's new clothes - no-one dares admit disliking.) Love Julie. This seems such a waste of her talents.

I think that patter song with the higher duet she does with herself is actually really good. But again, that was Julies decision and boy did she do it well. a few years ago, she randomly redid it when someone asked her about phrasing did an entire part of it from memory. what high IQ, memory banks she has!
