I don't hate the new disney, i just hate the old love story of disney like cinderella, sleeping beauty & snow white. Why? They only meet once & they married, the other princess our to weak & the love always represent 2 couples. Which is not very realistic in the modern world. Unlike the new version like mulan 1998, maleficent, enchanted, princess & the frog, brave & frozen. They give us a lots of diverse character, the stereotype of being a princess who always being rescued to a feminism like brave & mulan, you can't married the person you only met once just like frozen & enchanted, villain had more reasonable why they became villain like maleficent, cruella & thanos from mcu. And they show love has so many shape like couples, sister bonding like elsa & anna or a mother daughter bonding like maleficent & aurora. When u watch the film maleficent, instead the prince who break the cursed, it was maleficent who cursed the princess. From villain to antihero characters. And how she love aurora like a real daughter. And don't forget the lgbt character from strange world. Maybe this is the reason why the writers wrote this song because the old Disney had a worse stereotype story unlike now.
