The Castellows (pronounced, cast-el-ohs), are country music's newest trio band. Other than sharing the same DNA , the girls share a love for music and following their passions. Raised on a cattle farm in Georgia, Ellie, Powell, and Lily all know what it means to truly be "Like A Farmer".

Emmylou Harris is a great North Star for the trio: she (like Linda Ronstadt) chased after great songs, not after fame or celebrity, but after those layered songs that not only fit her voice but were relentlessly authentic. And Emmylou is an open, loving soul--there's nothing closed-minded or narrow about her or her music. It's amazing to think that the Castellows are only at the beginning of their journey. The world is really just opening for them. If they can stick with it and stay together, they can go anywhere. They've already covered all kinds of music in their act and their writing is already infectious and engaging. So much talent.

I learned of the Castellows from KZbin and I gotta say they are totally awesome at first i did not really pay attention but my favorite song from them was one of their Silo Sessions called Sophie and Buddy and I would play that song all the time but now I have a bunch of songs that I just love and many have to hear everyday but I have really fell in love with their music.

Hi. You make brilliant music, are intelligent and have a great relationship together. Hope to see you in Europe. BUT I strongly advise against any references to hunting. I understand it is normal in your country and within your background. However many / most people in UK and Europe are strongly against guns and hunting. The media in the uk would hammer you down for hunting - especially deer - who we in the uk consider are very cute. I'm from Penny Lane in Liverpool and grew up in the 60's to the rise of Beatles' music. Remember John Lennon's comment about Christ? I fear the same reaction to hunting would happen to you in UK. I would even edit out the reference to hunting in this interview. Unfortunately the British press would dig this out and make a big deal of it. Hope this is a helpful heads up for you.
