One of the features of your shiurim that I have come to appreciate is the emphasis on relationship to/intimacy with one’s tzaddikim, with this illustration of “face to face.” Where there is distance, there is an opportunity to extend one’s will, to “travel,” to stretch and become more victorious in the process. The physical distance demands attention to processes that would otherwise be overlooked.
