That's some crazy psychology. He has been so aggressive and paranoid for so long that he doesn't like when people are nice to him. Jay z talks about this in his book, decoded. Its about the mind of the hustler and how they always have to stay on their toes and never can trust anyone.

I'm not from Chicago and I haven't been exposed to that type of enviornment i'm all about education but I understand what bibby's talking about. What is the point of going to high school for some of the kids out on the streets? Especially if you got shit to worry about at home. College isn't really an option for them even if they were to get loans. It takes forever to pay them off and a good job isn't guaranteed after college. I know so many people in college or out of college working 9/5 just scraping by trying to pay them loans. The only reason I plan on going to college is because I plan on getting a full scholarship which is because I've been academically gifted since I was little. I know so many people in my own city that struggle with school cuz that got other shit to worry about or because they're mentally challenged.

It was really funny seeing Sway and company try to get some complicated, socioeconomic/geopolitical answers from Bibby as to why young teens in Chi town are so embroiled in violence. I think I'm becoming a fan of Bibby because he put it so bluntly, so simply, in a sincere way that only someone from Chicago at that age could put it. A good question may have been whether any of their parents want them to go to school and actually care, but either way, the answer probably would've been one of indifference. I think we got some insight into the mentality: "we don't care, we don't want a job, we think school is a waste of time, one day a time." The beauty is when the answer is as simple as that.

A guy on my FB recently put, " Ladies, f you wear your hair natural, make sure you got good hair." I have also heard many black men say things like. "She cute for a dark skinned girl". As if such a girl is an exception, because dark skinned girls aren't pretty. Stop with the gender Olympics. Both black men and women suffer from brainwashing and messed up perceptions of what is "good".

@chicagomycity10 жыл бұрын
She said you have "nice hair". People say that all the time, if they like your hair, the style, etc. Exactly. Both genders have been brain washed due to white superiority, the fact that Okafor tries to call out women just shows how black people constantly blame each other, instead of us deprogramming oourselvesfrom such thoughts. I here black dudes always saying "she cute for a dark skin girl", as if thats a damn compliment.....but he don't say nothing about that.........its only women to him. Dudes (and females) LOVE to blame one gender for every thing ignorant in black culture. Which shows who is really ignorant;.......

What Bibby is saying that, and I'm speaking out of context, "why go to school for 9 hours and not pay attention and get in trouble when you can make about $100+ each day on the street ". You can't just tell him go back to school if he's been dropped out for 2 years or more. They get stuck in that mindset of street shit. Than they can't just move out the hood. It's not that easy. A lot of them would just be moving from one hood to another. Is he a lost cause at 19? No but that's life he lived so that's all he knows

I can tell you why alot of people don't go to school because me being from 79th and school is on 64th this is just an example, because you gotta go through all these blocks to get to school, and all these different sets.School ain't worth losing your life.

Damn. @15:48 when Swray asked him how does he about Drill music or can he explain? Lil Bibby said almost the same thing Charlie Parker (inventor of Bebop Jazz) said when he was asked to explain Jazz. In other words, if I have to explain it to you, you'll never know.

Lol dont confuse his unwillingness to divulge details for inability to articulate. Dude has to watch what he says cause even a slight misstep that the average viewer doesnt notice can cause an uproar behind the scenes in his neighborhood.
