Pretty sure the placebo effect can't work on animals since they don't have the cognition to understand what "treatment" even is, let alone the ability to create subconscious connections between treatments and pain/ailments required for the placebo effect to work. And a human can't just believe an animal is getting better and have that lead to the animal actually improving. So idk if this product is hooey or not, but it can't be the placebo effect.

I read somewhere the reason the Assisi Loop works so well on Bub is because it can be treated with vibrations because they help break down the cell barriers on bones which need to break down. This is why Bub is always frisky after she travels, as the vibrations in a plane or car help break down the too thick bones. The electromagnetic pulses the Assisi Loop emits mimics this process. I have no doubt that the Assisi Loop is responsible for Bub's miraculous recovery because of this. But having said that, I have serious doubts the Assisi Loop is a viable treatment for arthritis and the other things it claims. I'd give it a miss unless your animal has osteopetrosis.

Studies are still going on regarding this in humans and animals alike. My vet has seen some improvement in one of her patients with a minor neurological disorder. She hasn't seen trackable improvement on arthritis patients yet but it's only been a month. I'm about to try it on my parrot with degenerative bone disease to try and reduce pain... It can't hurt and I've honestly spent 200 bucks on worse treatments before. Studies are still going but it's promising for a number of patients... At least we know with animals it's not a placebo.

I know this looks like just an ad for the assisi loop. But a rescue cat my husband and i acquired about half a year ago was perfectly healthy (a little under weight and skittish, but that was to be expected) and for a few weeks we earned her trust, and she was so enthusiastic for all things play and affection. She ran around the room for wet food, jumped up in our laps when we sat, got the zoomies after using the litter box, etc. Then, she started acting lethargic. A week after i noticed the change in behavior, she was stumbling when she walked, would not jump and fell into and out of the litter box as if her back legs simply werent working. The vets (three different ones) can find absolutely nothing wrong with her, and she can no longer walk at all. There is nothing wrong except her back legs not working. We have accommodated her needs and made a small ramp onto her bed she can manage to crawl up, and with assistance at the start she could stumble about 2 feet, now she can manage to get across the room for the litter box, but still falls in and out. Nobody has been able to explain or really help, except to casually recommend putting her to sleep (we no longer see that vet) she is a very happy and loving cat, and will try her best to be as close as possible to us for attention. If anyone here might have any advice on how to help, advice for getting a vet to consider uncommon ailments, let me know.
