I'm from Oakland and the same age as Lil D. I feel this story. I did ten years in prison and upon release I felt no emotion. But when I got to the parking lot where my 12 year old daughter was I hugged her and cried like a baby.

This here is a Real Man! He took his crucifixion before the snitches and Feds like Jesus. Stood tall through it all. Held his chin up at sunrise and toes down at nightfall. 30 years later Lil D arose from the thorns and thistles of incarceration and resurrected back into society with unflinching Dignity. Few men live by this creed. My Salute goes out to a Tru Player of the GAME!

I remember when Obama commuted his sentence the prosecutor from Lil D's case was saying this is a tragedy and criticizing Obama. He said this is like commuting Al Capone or John Gotti. I'm like damn he went in for drugs not murder. Almost 30 years of a man's life for drugs. Sheesh.
