I truly commend you for your stance on R. KELLY. Ppl love to make light of his fans, but let's a racist still get support for their art. We flip out. Sinister acts change how I view the artist. Their art no longer is impacting to me. It's RARE for ppl to have such integrity. Hence why supremacy and misogny still is prevalent. Ppl tend to focus on the accomplishments and not morality.

That person that went off on Teedra Moses must not watch the R&B money podcast because almost every singer and producer mentions R Kelly as a major influence. Him being a Pedo and horrible man isn’t going to ever change his how talented he is. It’s also not going to make people that love his work all of sudden hate it. Honestly, most of our favs and goats have weird cases, allegations and convictions. James brown, Chris brown, Bobby brown....All the damn browns! Smh 2pac was convicted of rape... Biggie was beating on Lil Kim.. As someone who has been a fan of Teedra Moses for over 15 years I dont feel no ways tired about her liking an R Kelly song. It's unfortunate what he's done. However, this is the first time I've ever heard of her being in some mess. Not to say she hasn't. It's just the first time I've heard. I say that to say Ms Moses seems to be unproblematic in my opinion. So until she does something that truly shakes the table, I'm going to let her have her top 5 list & mind my business.

Im completely on Teedra side in this. If we really cancel everything R. Kelly do you know all the songs he produced from r&b all the way to Gospel. I grew up to R kelly and still listen to his music bc some songs take me back to a time in life I hope to never forget with people that's no longer here. I can separate the man from the music he made.

I stopped listening to RK some time around 2006 (I was 16/17) after he popped out dressed like Soulja boy that's when it all started making sense. But I am not going to stop listening to Teedra Moses because I disagree with her music tastes. I also think it's weird for that person to attack her for that take, especially when she said she never was a fan. She needs to keep that energy for almost everyone that went on that podcast because it's damn near a requirement for guests to meat eat RK at some point in the episode.

I'm a social worker, and my care and willingness to fight for children and young people is well documented. Many people should look into the facts of these cases. Propaganda is real. As a woman, I don’t understand Teedra. Especially if you watch “surviving R. Kelly” and heard the details of the perverse and sickening treatment he did to those women and even his own wife. And now we know he abused his daughter too! He is the Devil! With Tank, I understand a little more why it’s more difficult because he said in an interview that R. Kelly is the only other Artist who does what he does in R&B (sings, writes, and produces music). He is the R&B King (true whether you like him or not, no one else is touching his accomplishments within R&B). So to him, R. Kelly’s fall from grace was the equivalent of what losing Michael Jackson was to Chris Brown and Usher.

Best days behind her = she’s been in the industry 20 years, her biggest records dropped at that time as well plus I’m curious how many of my subscribers even know who she is. And as a fan of hers, I was happy to see her TinyDesk with the idea in mind that maybe, more people would hear her music and appreciate/support it. I want to offer this perspective. Some people are able to appreciate art and disregard the personal lifestyle of the artists. It’s done in European culture often. Humans are flawed but can’t it still remain that the art they create is still meaningful to someone? It may not be you or myself bc by know means am I listening to his music either but as a lover of music and art in general, I can understand where she’s coming from. Lastly, you’re not shameful man.
