Let's be clear, I worked for Universal when this was released and even though he wasnt signed to us, the reason all the other Houston Texas cats got deals is because of his success. No arguments or hood fairly takes about who's the freestyle king, we saw the numbers and far outsold all Htown artist with his first release the leprechaun. Two first albums double platium.

Flip is a real one. About ten years ago, A woman I dated at that particular time she and I went out for drinks at this local bar in south west Houston we were having a great time just enjoying the music and the atmosphere and out of nowhere,the bar got dark and the multi colored strobe light starts to shine and Lil Flip appears out of nowhere he and another local artist named chingo bling” does a concert right there in the bar literally ten feet in front of us. Needless to say it was shit!💯

This comment is always silly because there is endless amounts of amazing rap being made right now. It's especially funny on this song though. Like dont get me wrong it's a classic and Flip is a legend, but it is a super simple song. It would.make sense if you put this comment on like Pharcyde, Del, People under the Stairs. People who were legitimately doing unique thing that you hear less of today. Why is this song better then the popular rap thats being made today. Same subject matter, about the same level of lyricism and a even simpler beat. It's like reminiscing about Laffy Taffy by D4L. Its a fun classic song but its pretty dumb.
@CouchCommander50003 жыл бұрын
thank God I didn't get stuck in an era. Your comment is so stupid because your father said the exact same thing about his music and his Gran father before him and your kids will say the same thing about theirs. I feel bad for you actually.
