Seeing someone using the basic Demise and Ruin deck and winning warms my heart. What's truly OP is if he gets the 10 Star Versions where Demise doesn't require you to sacrifice LP (if you use ritual monsters as sacrifices) and each destroyed card does 300 Damage to the owner, while Ruin not only does 2 attacks if you use ritual monsters as sacrifices but does piercing damage and the defeated monster's ATK as damage.

Plus actual yugioh nowadays are played with all OP cards. The duels that OTV plays are played like og yugioh and would be considered way too slow for todays meta. Yugioh now, has people summoning at least 2-4 OP card in their first turn and lots of chains

To explain why Demise managed to clear the board, The dragons survived Demises nuke, but didn't survive the downside of having True Light get destroyed. When it is, it destroys all the monsters its controller has since the dragons only had protection from one destruction a turn.

While the dragon cannot survive due to true light effect is true, the explanation is since true light is a continuous trap, its effect only applies when it's still on the field. Only when the card specifically states "even when this card leaves the field", the continuous effect will still be in effect until end of turn or the phase/step that it specifically mentions.

An old meta was demise otk, where you summon demise with advanced ritual art and destroy the field, then summon doom dozer with the insects in the grave. Those 2 cards + any ns would be over 8k damage. Brodin could play that since it's not good in modern standards and helps with the problem of demise of not have monster presence due to destroying your own monsters.

Leslie could have used Sage with Eyes of Blue to special summon a Blue Eyes from her deck. And she could have used Jet Dragon to not only destroy the opponents monster but return one of his set spell/trap cards which would have made it harder for him to activate it.

His Ascending Soul 25:59 didn't do anything, because he chained Renewal of the World to it. Continuous Cards need to resolve, before they become active. Using Ascending Soul there, was also unnecessary, he could have just shuffled the Ruin, Angel of Oblivion in his Graveyard 11:48 back instead of sacrificing the Demise, Agent of Armageddon in his hand 26:42, because Renewal of the World let's you shuffle Ritual Monsters in your GY to Ritual summon what it banished. Also instead of drawing a card when he summoned Demise 12:08, he could have used the Field Spell Breaking of the World, to destroy Leslies Trap True Light, so it destroys her own monsters. So he wouldn't have to use his Life Points to activate Demise.

Adding drytron helps with consistency but demise is still a deck that focuses on otk as well but in a more based way.

If he like demise, he should try out demise otk. It should be just a bit stronger and doesn't worry about demise destroying his own cards that he loses monster presence. Leslie only won because of jet dragon, so brodin playing a bit of impcantation or drytron should be fair. I would say impcatation would be better since demise tributes 2 drytron monsters, and impcatation is just weaker drytron for rituals.
