I’m 42 and been a veggan (meaning I still eat eggs but no dairy) since 7 years and people face when they find out my age is fun for me to watch but way more important than that is how much healthier I am. I got my bloodwork done before and after at regular intervals to be sure I am not missing anything and surprisingly not only did my bloodwork improve but my iron went up because of the beans. I eat legumes almost every day. I also use My Fitness Pal app to track my nutrient intake and l figured out how to get enough of all I need and not too much of anything either. There is such thing as too much of a good thing. The only supplement I take is B12 but even people who get B12 through meat are getting the supplement that was fed to the animals. Might as well take it direct. If you’re going to become a vegetarian or veggan or vegan make sure you are eating enough sources of omega 3 fat acids for your heart health.
