The fact that they were able to get four of the hottest female rappers on one song is still crazy. A lot of cameos from female artists at the time in the video - Mary J Blige, Queen Latifah, Total, Xscape, SWV, Blaque. This remix was also apart of a movie soundtrack which is why you see clips of Martin. RIP Left Eye 🙏
@jusblazed4 жыл бұрын
@@JackReacts904 A lot of unity from the women back then especially Missy, Mary, and Kim. Here are some more suggestions: "No One Else Remix"- Total ft Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, and Da Brat "I Can Love You" - Mary J Blige ft. Lil Kim. It's one of my favorite songs from the 90s. "Sock It 2 Me" - Missy Elliott ft. Da Brat. The video is Clean and fucks up Brat's verse 😒 Listen to the explicit version.

They shot this video in late May 1997. FUN FACTS: All of the girls dancing on the platform with Left Eye were her real life friends Kim's girls and Left Eye's girls almost had a lil situation on set. They were sizing each other up but Kim and Left Eye told them to dead it ASAP! Chilli (TLC) wasn't there because she just had her son Everyone on the yacht was throwing up except Kim & Left Eye from being seasick When they went scuba diving, something happened with Left Eye's gear & she was catching some water in her nose & fighting for the surface😂 Mad cameos from Queen Latifah, Big Les, Blaque, Xscape, etc.. They all performed it in 2014 for Soul Train Awards for the 1st time since 1997 VMAs From the "Nothing to Lose Soundtrack"

So cool seeing female rappers UNITED! This was kinda the middle of a very special time where women in rap were taking over. It was a nice maybe 15 year run from the early 90s to the mid 2000s where women were so successful in hip hop then around 2007 maybe all the women dropped out of site until Nicki became a star in 2009. You definitely gotta do some Missy videos, her shit is LEGENDARY!!!!!
