I have to respectfully disagree. Why do people always down Black women bodies? As you age, that means you can no longer be sexy? For example, look at JLO (age 53), Shakira (age 45), Madonna (age 64) all past their 40s and yet are praised for their sex appeal and looking young. Non-Black people are allowed to do so many things and when a Black woman does it, it's "Oh they're too old, they need to cover up, they need to.." blah blah. There's an audience for everyone. Nicki and Kim can be in their 60s and continue doing what they doing. If people do not like that then support other Black women who present differently. Let's stop removing Black women's autonomy.
@BruceLigno2 жыл бұрын
You're missing a lot of key details on why this argument does not hold up. - We are talking about Black people AS Black people. Ofc we're only criticizing them. - Madonna gets dragged left and right for her still trying to be sexy. Look up 50 Cent and Madonna and you will see that it was relatively recent. - None of these women are rappers and Shakira and J-Lo are not explicit on how they show off sex appeal. Also, Shakira and J-Lo (to an extent) show that they can dance outside of shaking butt. They are different skills than just showing off their body, which is heavily shown during the Superbowl 2020 they did. - It's not about taking Black sexiness away, it's about doing it more tastefully, and not resorting to it and being so vulgar, which the women discussed in the video did *VERY* often.
@gzsworld15082 жыл бұрын
That is not the point to discredit black women from being sexy at any age, but to be sexy in a non vulgar way. Take Nicki Minaj for example at the age she is now trying to shake her butt and spread her legs, it’s not sexy but that is doing to much for being an older age, she can be sexy but classy, and it’s not just black women when Madonna goes out and tries to shake her butt it’s not sexy either because of her age she can show a little cleavage if she wants but shaking her butt and spreading her legs on stage at her age is not sexy it’s disturbing and embarrassing

Whats more sad is the lack of awareness about why her surgeries started. I grew up watching her cime in the scene. I remember the interview ms about her father beating her a ms a toddler and criticizing her appearance and everything about her. Thinking she wasnt pretty enough because Biggie chose faith over her. Her first surgery was her nose after a boyfriend shattered it and continued to do so and it never had a chance to heal. She kept going back because she had no self value. Same boyfriend continued to beat her so bad it affected her face and eventually she started wiping out the marks with surgery while also thinking if she was prettier hed stop. Yes, a surgeon should have sooke up, maybe they did, but at the end of the day the initial surgeons were simply doing their best to heal a beaten and damaged face. This includes shifts in her jaw (hence loss jaw line).

Nicki is almost 40 but she still looks sexy and hot, so imo she doesn't look cringy AND she still has a lot of talent, more than anybody else musicaly for sure in female rap and maybe even rap wise in general. What will make her memorable is not only her body but her versatility in music, the adaptability to the newer sounds and the lyrics which you can literally apply in real life as sayings. Meanwhile kim compared to nicki doesn't look that attractive and in addition to the poor money investment management these are the reasons why nobody really cares for kim. Not to mention the fact that she is lightenning her skin till this day and being in jail which stopped her career from staying alive longer.

So... Sexy is just for young women? For perfect women? Is what you are saying? Of course, nobody should base his/her identity in how they looks... but feeling sexy and sex is not forbidden for mature women. You "see" cringe a woman who feels sexy being older. I see cringe people who consider themselves entitled to decide whether or not should anyone feels sexy. Because, no matter of my age, my weigh, my sexual orientation, my race or my look, I'm free to feel sexy. No need to be perfect to feel sexy. And that's something that many young men/women haven't achieved and won't achieve. They wont never get there. We often say people have a problem with their age, but the truth is that we have a problem with them feeling young, happy and beautiful being mature when we aren't capable of doing so being so "young and perfect". This is valid for any "not normative" person. I'm not ashamed of myself, if you feel uncomfortable around me, is your problem. Not mine. This is worst in older people, that can't stand someone of their own age feeling attractive just because they don't stand looking at themselves in the mirror. So... the answer is clear: "look into your self, my friend. Look into yourself...."
