Ya it is subjective, for sure, and there is a lot of good music being made today. But there certainly is such a thing as “bad” music, and there is a place for critique and the people who make it, who occupy extremely privileged, well-compensated positions should be subject to it, especially if they’re in that pixilated position because of nepotism (the person in this video). That said, I’d just note when I think about what music I think of as being “bad” these days, it’s usually popular mainstream music, stuff on the radio and big labels. I don’t listen to it, so it’s not a big issue w me, only in so far as it coming over the speaker in a public space I’m in forcing me to listen, but even then, it’s not that big of a deal other than a slight annoyance. Though usually it’s more wonderment at how so many other people can hear the same string of sounds and have such a different reaction than my own.
