I'm a fentanyl addict, currently a month and some clean... Recovery is the hardest thing I've ever done.. I used to jam steel to this song and "vibe out".. Trying to reclaim my music from my addiction, I love lil peep and I've associated his songs with using. I post comments like this on youtube to not feel so alone and help process the emotions that come with early recovery. Anyone out there who feels like they're "born to do this" just know it doesn't have to be that way.. Im not gonna tell you my life is automatically better because of getting some clean time, what I will say is that waking up every morning without having to inject myself with whatever bullshit I bought the night before is a blessing Im not willing to give away. Nothing on this earth even close to compares to what awaits believers. hey, i feel you too man. i was a hardcore fan before he died. i saw him live twice and tried to put all my friends on him lol. i listened to him all the time. i definitely told everyone that he was my favorite artist and he had a bright future ahead. i can still remember being told that he died. i had just saw him 8 days before that. it completely crushed me. I still can’t listen to songs like Crybaby, The Way I See Things or Star Shopping without bawling my eyes out because there was once a point in my life where i listened to those songs to just vibe and after his death, every time i try to listen to them i am constantly reminded by everyone that he is in fact dead. I am filled with so much nostalgia from that time period when he was alive that i literally cant touch those songs without crying. i hope it gets easier for me one day. i just wanna feel like i used to when i listened to him when those songs came out. im sorry for the rant. i just needed to get this out.
