I have one of the last lilsnoozy campers. Unfortunately they went under before they could become profitable! 😢 I am completely satisfied with mine...well built, well designed. Hope someone comes along and gets them back on the road. I use mine as a stationary mancave and heat it with an outside furnace which also heats the house. It is truly 4 season and no humidity problem in winter at all. Would not trade it for anything.

For all of you that think it's too expensive please consider what you are getting for the money. This is a well thought out design built by a private company, not one of the monoliths that control everything else. Have you priced a similar sized Rpod? I think it's absolutely fantastic and will be making the short trip to St. Matthews, SC to check one out soon. Love the idea of no propane. Why would I want gas routed into my living quarters? And the idea of a home window a/c unit is just brilliant. Roof mounted units in most campers are WAY too loud for comfort. Having a compressor refrigerator is priceless as you don't have to cool it down a day ahead of time like most camper units. And just how do you do that anyway if your camper is stored at a place with no electricity? Good Lord, the toilet alone is almost worth the price of the unit! Thanks for such an innovative design!
@harryjansen69906 жыл бұрын
Sorry, Rpod's a better camper overall. Having to rely on a noisy (relatively) generator is a definite deal breaker. No propane? He also never mentioned shore power of any kind or a battery? I have to carry gasoline now to run my generator, which most campgrounds have restrictions on running. Having to start up that thing would be a pain after a time, along with the frequent fill up's for the generator.

Different strokes for different folks… being a loner, and having lived off grid in an old 12 ft Scotty for 13 years, I truly understand and appreciate the “minimalist” lifestyle. With all the recent interest in ‘tiny homes’, I know that there are many others who understand my perspective. - Of course there are less expensive units of comparable size and amenities… but for a few thousand more, why not go for QUALITY? I can see myself traveling the nation with this easy, convenient “home away from home”.

A very well designed unit, and will likely last for generations, like a Boler trailer. But no propane fridge and heat is a big problem. Most of our provincial camp sites have set generator times, and they max out at 4 hours per day. Too bad, you guys are missing out on the bulk of the market share. Yes the price is really high but I bet this is a quality product. Best of luck to the company.

have been looking a "tiny" trailers for quite a bit and most of them are $16-17K or so. The Forest River R-Pod 179 is almost $18K here in CA, so I am not sure that the price is too out of line if the Snoozy trailer does last. I know the slide on my neighbor's R-Pod 179 is apparently failing after 1 year, so quality is lacking in the cheaper lines. AC units for trailers need a "hard-start capacitor" and rubber vibration supports so need to ask about that AC. Otherwise, I like the design. We "wild" camp a lot so the lack of a holding tank is something to think about. I love cassette toilets, but be aware how heavy a full one is; I would need to use a cart to pull it to the restroom. Cheers, Constance

It has a compressor fridge, they are so much better than a 3 way RV fridge! RV units only cool 40 degrees below ambient temperature, camper gets to 90 your food is only 50 degrees, spoiled. I set my compressor on 20 that's where it stays, runs great off solar !

This is a fantastic little camper - you wouldn't have a dealer in Australia by chance ? I would just love one of these - just right for myself and wee dog, Ruby. So jealous!!! Alison x
@69warthog18 жыл бұрын
Hi All, These are built in South Carolina, and are less then 20 feet long, they could put one in a 20 foot shipping container, probably about a hundred miles by truck to the port, and then its loaded on a ship. The hard part is actually where it gets to Australia, so you really need to go to your local trucking company, find out where a container would land close to you, and how it would get from the port to you. Most of Australia's population lives within 100 miles of a port, so it is definitely possible. Become a dealer, and use your knowledge to import more to sell to other people. The actual cost of the shipping leg will be on the order of a couple thousand dollars, at a guess, it would cost more to ship it overland to the west coast of the US, so, about 10% increase in cost. Thanks, take care.

@robertbecker93729 жыл бұрын
+Roger Sayers I look at it this way: 1. Don't have to buy a tow vehicle to accommodate the rig. 2. Mileage 3. Most folks with smaller campers don't use the propane heat that much. 4. Depreciation: Look at the price of used Casitas / Bigfoots / Escapes. in many cases depreciation is at or less than $1000 / year , and some sell for at or near the price when new. It's like getting the use of the camper for free. 5. You can take it to any National Park Campground - some have limits of 20 or 24 feet on trailers. 6. Real Estate: you can park this thing in your garage. No beef against the big rigs, but the smaller ones are becoming very popular.

This is a brilliant camper. I've done tremendous research on campers and I favor this one. It's one of the only floor plans I see that puts the large TV in front of the couch, perfect for gamers. Most other campers put the TV in an awkward viewing angle. The only thing I would have done differently is make the rear more aerodynamic to reduce turbulence Eddies from creating a vortex of drag.

This video seems to have a bit too much face time of the guy and not enough overview of the camper. Very clever design.

I like the lil snoozy quite a bit. One down side to it is the refrigerator. I wish it would offered in a AC/DC configuration. Putting food in a cooler the starting the generator an hour before I get to my destination isn't going to work for me. After a 10 hour drive some of the stuff starts to defrost. Also on trips that require multi day stops where I boondock in rest stops or walmarts generators don't go over to well. I do like the idea of no propane however, when boondocking in the wilderness a solar system would take care of my needs.
@WakeUpAmerican000s5 жыл бұрын
surfandstreamfisher - if the fridge was a cold-plate design with good insulation, one could keep food cold for several hours with no power, but I have to agree - no propane for cabin heat or keeping the refridge cold is a non-starter for me, despite the apparent good design. I don't like most campgrounds, and paying $30+ per night to park in one just so I can plug-in has never made sense to me.

VERY well thought out ▬ common sense RULES ! Also SEVERELY OVERPRICED ! ( 20 GRAND ! ? ! YIKES ! ) Only OTHER criticism is that the window shaker A/C should have long ago been replaced with a modern " mini split " A/C unit . . . .

+daddybear443 I own one and love it!! At first i did have some condensation around the bed, I used some rediflex insulation around the mattress that worked. I also just keep air moving with a small fan. haven't had problems since :)

pepper195213 , buy one of those " Little Buddy " propane heaters, they work great.
@djack41255 жыл бұрын
Propane heaters produce moisture which condenses on the cool walls in winter. A small, inexpensive electric heater with a thermostat is ideal to operate off the generator. Selectable power switch from 700, 1000 or 1500 watts. @@timschutte8310

I keep running across this video. I'm curious why there are no recent videos from you and I'm wondering if this company is still in business. I want one of these campers, but currently I just can't get it. I also want to know if I could pull it with my Honda Accord?

I see a lot of questions being asked and no answers. You would think a company that says come on down on a saturday and we will run right over would take two minutes a week to answer questions
@Robert1117 жыл бұрын
Nah, you gotta go down to the shop in South Carolina and dem boys will take real good care of you. They only answer questions at the kitchen table over a cup of joe.

Curtis DeAtley if you want a successful business on YT you take time to answer questions in the comments. It shows an actual interest in your customers and it ranks you higher in search. Clearly little snoozy isn't interested in responding and knows nothing about YT and how it works.
@Robert1117 жыл бұрын
I don't think he has a "business on youtube," he just used youtube to host his videos which are linked off his website. Like I says, you gotta go down to the shop in South Carolina and dem boys will take real good care of you. They only answer questions at the kitchen table over a cup of joe.

Absolutely love this fabulous little trailer. And although it's well built ...(which quality does appeal to me)... unfortunately, the price seems to be too high. Rest assured that I will be keeping an eye on your "Lil Snoozy" until the cost drops and/or I purchase elsewhere. Great video, thorough and detailed demo ... well done. Cheers!!

Looks awesome, but I'm wondering how much weight those solid oak cabinets weigh?? I'm surprised they used such heavy wood. But weight aside, these look amazing!!!
@ChristopherJones168 жыл бұрын
I was just thinking the same.. You can throw in aluminum cabinets to lessen the weight.. or even use what this one guy uses.. Plastic cardboard/Political Candidates Signs for his shelves.. he makes his entire camper out of them. said it weighs no more than 10lbs all together.
@Robert1117 жыл бұрын
If those are actually solid oak like he says, they would weight damn 300 pounds.
