It's so refreshing watching someone appreciate this type of music, even for it's lyrics especially considering your journey with someone like Dave, who is very lyrical and in a very different way than Tjay. I would never call Tjay a lyrical rapper, but that doesn't mean that his lyrics don't have some meaning to them. I feel like a lot of people would be harsh towards this type of music for the lyrical content, but you're actually listening. Thank you for that. Loved the vid

This is honestly top 3 album of the year for me. TJay went absolutely crazy but in my opinion, “True 2 Myself”, his first album is still his best project. Both are great but I love the songs more on that one and I go back to it more even tho I think Nightshift and Fosterbaby are top 10 TJay songs now

ngl i put this album over rod nostalgia album for album of the year just for the surprise how great this album is we didnt expect this i feel like compared to rod wave album we expect alot of what he says and raps about we knew what we expected from rod tjay surprised the hell out of me and won aoty

Yeah he has dealt with betrayal to answer your question. He found out that someone in his crew had something to do with him getting shot, as well as in an interviews tjay mentions that he had a heartbreak a little before he started rapping
