It is gut wrenching to think that this form of Lil Wayne is forever gone. What a masterpiece! A instrumental that takes hold of you. A sound that embodies an era. Listening to this is like a snap shot in time. A time in which this man flooded the streets with mixtapes one after another relentlessly. His Mixtape run will forever be unrivaled. He gave us so much meaningful music. As if it were bible verses to his disciples, his people, his city. Lyrics that paint a picture. You can close your eyes and what he is saying comes to life. This may very well be his greatest work. Brilliant is an understatement. This is deep. This is what the game is missing. Thank you forever Weezy!

Shit, so that’s why I get twisted, so I can’t feel it when it hits me, and my moms don’t need that on her, but I see death around the corner. Just a reminder wayne was the biggest motivation for 98% of your rappers over the age of 25 (basically the only decent ones left). Sure the oldheads of that time hated him for selling out to get radio plays but at the end of the day this man paved the way. It may be an unpopular opinion but as far as rap goes hes my GOAT

Pre-Carter 3 was Wayne's best days musically....everything from 2002 to 2008 was fire....he was on the rise then....Wayne was poppin in the late 90s, but when the Hot Boys broke up, he had to start from scratch....all the Squad Up mixtapes, Carter 1-2, early Drought's and Dedications were just fire.

I think we haven't been fair to this man for god sake he changed the game... And time's goes by things changed yal can't expect him to be the same same Wayne from when we grew up on him back in the day. I will forever be a Wayne fan, you can bring you em, nas, jay, biggie only person I hold above Wayne is Pac and I am not even a bigger fan of Pac coz I grew up on Wayne.. Give the legend his flowers while he can still smell them.... 2020 baby

You're all looking too deep. Wayne is a baptized Roman Catholic, he believes in God. None of us know his, or anybody else's soul. We know Lil Wayne, the entertainer...not the real person. Ppl sound dumb af thinking his lyrics are a code to his soul, if he's good/evil, if he sold his soul, etc., etc. Dumb shit lol. U ppl need to worry about ur own relationship with God.

Rildwan Ali You have a small world view, the most successful people ever are part of a major crime syndicate. They sell drugs, people, even souls to the lowest bidder wholesale. The streets gangs only mirror the larger world were drug dealing murder and gangs go hand in hand. The U.S.A depends on drugs to fuel it's economy. The salaries of local police, detectives, ATF,DEA,FBI, prosecutors, public defenders, defense lawyers, courtroom interpretors, bailiffs, county deputies, wardens. Then the industry prison has cheap prison labor or the housing of inmates which the government gives them ship money for each inmate then these private companies profit of selling them different things at highly inflated prices. Theses a big picture, of course governments deal in drugs and always have.I live in a state they say has a rep of being corrupt but it's no more corrupt than what goes on in D.C. they just choose who they hang out to dry.
