I used to be Pro choice. Until I started praying with a group of Catholic women during lent. I felt like such a hypocrite as they prayed for the unborn, and I sat there quiet, knowing that I was pro-choice. Then a situation with a friend happened - she had an abortion because it was inconvenient. My eyes were opened- Never had I been so sick to my stomach, couldn’t sleep for days leading up to the day of her abortion, I prayed and prayed to our lady- I cried. I listened to Trent horn and you Lyla and I changed my position. I chose our lady of Guadalupe as my confirmation saint because I am Mexican and she was a big part of my life and culture. Later did I know she was the patron saint- the mother of the right to life movement. Our Lady, pray for us and for all the unborn.

The canonical books are not in the Bible so tell us how does your pastor know which books belong in the Bible when the Bible itself does not contain a list of books or "table of contents" that details which books belongs in the Bible? Please tell us....because Im sure your full name is not in the Bible so does that mean you are not real? Study Christian history and you will realize early Christians were Catholics. Where in the Bible does it say "sola scriptura"? That is not in the Bible. Where in the Bible did Jesus say that his one true church would come into existence in the year 1500s during the Protestant reformation? On the contrary, Jesus said to Peter "You are Peter and on this rock I will build MY church and the gates of Hades will not overcome it". Jesus built ONE church and promised Peter that this church would not be destroyed, therefore this church obviously has to be more than 2,000 years old, not 500 years old like the Protestant churches. Jesus also gave Peter authority over his church in Matthew 16:18 "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.". So where is this authority now? Its in the hands of the Pope, the vicar of Christ! This is why 2 Peter 1:20 says that "knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any PRIVATE interpretation". But you Protestants are your own interpreters and the pastors are their own popes.

I recite Guadalupe, Fatima and Lourdes full rosaries. They just seemed to be the most important ones. Once again, Lila and Fr Spitzer are here evangelizing with hard facts and science. I have xome ro believe that heaven and hell exist somewhere on the quantum level. That level is where all possibilities exist. I subscibe to 7 weeks coffee, snd now i will look into good ranchers! Have you heard about the apparitions of Our Lady in Gietrzwałd, Warmia in 1877, 19 years after the apparitions of Our Lady in Lourdes? Our Lady appeared 160 times from June 27, 1877 to September 14, 1877. In Gietrzwald there is a statue of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, personally blessed by Our Lady, and a miraculous spring, also personally blessed by Our Lady.

Thank you Lila and Fr Spitzer. My wife and I live in El Paso TX. Full disclosure - I am a Cradle Catholic who has tried to live my faith but realized at 55 that I have sucked as a human being and. Catholic many times in my life. I have worked hard to repent and reconcile with God. When I moved here I expected to see a staunchly Catholic population. El Pasoans are generally wonderful family based citizens and / or citizens in training. I got involved in 40 Days for Life here and the Southwest Coalition for Life to be part of the pro-life movement here. It was obvious quickly that this population and fellow citizens in New Mexico were being targeted by the abortion machine. The cartoonish billboards in English and Spanish within 5 miles of entering New Mexico prove that along with the actions of their Governor and Legislature. My head scratching and heart ache began when I realized that the populations of both states, made up of high percentages of Catholics, Latino/a, Hispanic and Indigenous / First Nation people vote in very high numbers for a “Number 1 priority” Pro-death political party targeting their women, the babies and their FUTURE. There is a high electorate majority of Democrats across NM and a targeted Democrat electorate in El Paso, who shamefully in my opinion profess Christianity if not Catholicism specifically. All the other destructive issues of the party of death flow from that. If you will pillage your women and ravage your babies through heinous means, all leading to death, you’ll allow ANYTHING. So Our Lady of Guadalupe is understandably revered here and prayerful citizens praying to her can be seen in many settings. Why is it then that OLG who brought a message of life and conversion to the indigenous populations and others organic to Mexico, and expanding conversions globally documented in the MILLIONS vote ferociously with a party that wants them dead? OLG brought those new faithful converts from pagan practices of infanticide, etc yet here we are; revering OLG righteously, yet standing for the demonic ravaging new life in the rich cultures of Mexico, South and Central America, the Latin Caribbean and Native populations. All of those cultures having traditions of the family. Southwest Coaltion for Life offers moms and pre-birth babies and enormous support system and followon post partum support yet the party of death reigns, showing of support to prolife action is at the cricket level of support, abortion numbers are exploding, etc etc. The “political representatives” of these areas, voted for by the population being addressed, likely go to some church that isn’t run by Satan, and grew from these cultures yet they are rabid spokespersons for the destruction of these heritages and cultures. I am a third generation Iris American and see the ravages of Satan on the Irish homeland and heritage and culture that produces Saints, Missionaries and Martyrs. The Irish people seem to have given up on OUR collective faith in Christ sadly, but not so here - my observation and prayer is you can’t advocate for abortion ferociously and revere OLG and the core tenets of the Catholic Church. They are 100% in opposition and there is no equivocating. You know that in your souls regardless of your vote for death. Please choose the Church and please choose LIFE. Dispatch Satan back to hell; not your homes. Your lineage depends on it.

My hair is standing on end. I knew nothing up until today about the Marian apparition of Guadalupe. I'm from lines of Catholics, both Irish and Mexican (from California). I lapsed pretty early before confirmation, and have only recently in middle age been drawn back. I live in Spain now. In May I was in the patron saint of Madrid's church San Isidro, on his saint day (where his body is kept). There were many, many bishops and priests and this huge church was very full. I had not gone to confession yet though and so I was not taking communion. After mass I went into a side chapel with a Virgin Mary statue. It was so crowded I had to just kneel on the hard marble floor and I prayed to Mary for healing. With my eyes closed I saw her in my mind, not me imagining it, it was there burned on my mind's eye like an inner hallucination or dream, and she appeared I remember thinking, oh like that Guadalupe painting and she had red roses flowing all around her (remember I had no idea of the details of any of this until just now) and the roses swirled around her and then shot at me, in my mind's eye, towards me and I felt intensely like crying as these red roses shot at me and I felt like they were going into my arms at the elbow. I had just given blood the day before I think, and it was almost like a reverse of that. So just today a few months later, hearing about her apparition in Mexico... the connection to Spain where I am now, and to my Mexican grandmother who took me to church every Sunday as a child, and those Castilian roses I obviously was seeing in the vision, is making my whole face tingle right now. Just wow.

Guadalupe's Juan Diego is one of my favorite stories. As Fr. Don Calloway recounts it, right before Juan Diego does the most "dude" thing ever and was about to immediately run to the bishop with a tilma of clumsily arranged roses, the Lady told him to wait just a minute while she arranged the roses properly, before she sent the boy his way.

This comes after one of my favorite Bible verses bringing to mind the dignity of life- When Mother Mary was pregnant with Jesus, she went on an about eighty mile joyous journey to visit her cousin Saint Elizabeth (patron saint of expectant mothers and pregnant women) in her hour of need, Elizabeth said referencing her tiny child in her womb John the Baptist who was conceived when she was in old age: Luke 1:41-45 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? Thank you Lila. Tears came out just listening to the words of father Spitzer. I can only say hail Mary and how special she is to all of us. She is our mother. On a different note there was a miracle that is rarely ever mentioned about Mary. The Virgin of the Sacred Heart if Im not mistaken. She made a miracle in April 20th of 1906 showing up in the dining area of a Jesuit boys boarding school in Quito-Ecuador. A student noticed the portrait was moving her eyes in sadness. She opened and closed her eyes repeatedly for about 15 minutes and shed tears in the end. It was investigated and declared a miracle. An ex free mason ( Free masons know it ) now Catholic spoke about it mentioning it in a Y.T. video long time ago. I think, in respect and honor of the Holly mother of God. All credits should be mentioned. Because, when she shows up there is a reason for it. And we Catholics have to pay attention.

There’s nothing added to the original image of Our Lady. The sun rays, the Angel and the black moon are part of the apparition. Msgr. Eduardo Chávez is the greatest expert on the Guadalupe apparition. Fr. Spitzer is great!!! Thank you Lila.

First of all, I love all of my Protestant friends and fellow believers in Jesus, but I struggle with the following (maybe some Protestants can enlighten me).... It seems like most know very little about church history prior to the Reformation and don't acknowledge how much the Reformers loved and revered Mary. It seems like they completely ignore Luke 1:48 where Mary declares that from now on ALL generations will call me blessed. It seems like no matter how many times it's endlessly explained, most can't grasp the difference between worship and reverence. Most of us respect our mothers, but we don't worship them. It also seems, that they don't understand the definitions and distinctions between an intercessor and a mediator. Being raised Catholic and attending Catholic school, even as a child, I understood these concepts. They really are not hard! One last thought...of the billions of women that have lived throughout history, only one was chosen to be the mother of God. Just meditating on that alone should help people grasp how profoundly important she is to our faith.

​@@dpeykissing your own mother isn't worship, giving her flowers isn't worship, there's only one way to worship in the Catholic Church, and is reserved to God alone, and is the sacrifice of the Mass, to worship you have to offer a sacrifice, in the old testament were chosen the most beautiful lambs or other animals, but I the New Covenant is Jesus Himself that offers Himself under the species of the bread of the wine, the true "Lamb of God" that can take away the sins of the world. Everything that we do to Mary is to honor through her God, when we praise how beautiful and Saint is the Mother of God we praise the Creator who made wonders in her. Everything you give to Mary, she takes it to his Son, she doesn't keep anything for her.

When you dont have a family and all role models are of abandonment its a struggle to pray to both Mary, Jesus, the Holy spirit. I still persist i ask Them to give me the trust, to open my eyes, to heal my trauma, my situation...but im still stuck. Trying to be grateful though physical pain is big ( offer it for other peoples conversion). Follow the commandments as well as i can. But the isolation and grief dont make it easy. I keep asking what does God want from me...i cant hear His voice. Mama Mary, pray for my trust in your Son and your divine spouse.

But in mentioning Our Lady of Guadalupe as the North American Marian apparition I think you forgot that we have an approved Marian apparition here in the US: Our Lady of Champion. Our Lady appeared to Adele Brise in 1859 just to the northeast of Green Bay Wisconsin. A spectacular miracle occurred at the site of the apparition when the grounds and those sheltering there were completely spared during the Great Peshtigo Fire which killed 1500-2500 people and burned 1.2 million acres- it remains the deadliest wildfire in American History. But this occurred on October 8, 1871, the same day as the Chicago Fire, so the miracle received little if any attention. Please look up Our Lady of Champion. She asked Adele to teach the children then said “Go and fear nothing, I will help you.”

"This is our cry: life with dignity for all! Her choice to say "yes" Luke 1:38 Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her. to God's will ushered in salvation for the world, and she did so knowing the sacrifices and sufferings that would result from her decision, but, humbly, accepted the privilege of containing the God of the Universe her womb, and then becoming Jesus' most intimate friend, companion, and greatest consolation while on Earth. She was the devil's ultimate humiliation! I believe God is the King of the universe, having all power of the universe, but God chose Our Lady, a humble lowly woman the privilege of crushing the head of the devil. Mary is not God, but she is a saint, and being that she is with Jesus in Heaven, I ask for her intercession to our Lord (and for sake of brevity, I'll say I "pray to Mary"), similar to how I'd ask people to pray for me (please do! I'm a broken sinner in need of many prayers), but I trust she is a saint in Heaven so I believe it is helpful to ask for her help, especially being so close to her Son. There is only one God. He is the source of all good. He is Goodness. He is Love! Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy. Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love entrusts me here,ever this day be at my side,to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
