For real, the original buddhist symbol symbolizes a sun wheel. I believe it means purety in the same way silver means pure. In the context of Bleach it makes total sense as Ichigo is the selfless hero willing to give anything and everything to protect others (A pure of heart character).

One of my complaints about the fullbring arc is how similar ichigo’s fullbring is to his shinigami powers. Like it’s not that similar but it’s a weapon and he used an attack that’s vaguely like getsuga tensho. He could do something hand to hand or more spellcasty type just for the contrast. Or a gun or some crazy ability like Aizen has or something. Just not another melee weapon. Missed opportunity right there.

Well considering how little the focus of the plot in the fullbring arc revolves around ichigo's fullbring , it wouldn't make much sense to delve deeper into a far more unique attack set , in other words , yes it would've been cool , but it aint the point of why this arc exists in the first place. The arc resembles mainly the struggle of falling behind , a realistic timeframe for the viewers to sink in the fact that he has lost his power (instead of time skipping to TYBW and have him try to regain powers whilst it all that shit goes down , and then make it feel not cheap that he can compete with the enemies in that arc) and more things that I cant discuss because spoilers from within the arc which im sure you understand what im talking about.
