My now husband used to sing this song to me when we were 2,000 miles apart and had never met in person (online relationship). No one ever thought we would make it, but after a year and four months I traveled halfway across the country to meet him from Chicago to Montana. We married less than a month later and found our i was pregnant a few days after. Next month we celebrate 7 years of marriage and 3 beautiful children. I'm more in love with him now than ever before. The weather was cold this morning. Our province here in the Philippines is under signal #1 due to Tropical Storm Auring. My hair stood at its end while I was riding on a van bound for my work station which takes 3 hours to get there. Opening my bag, I got my headset and scanned my music list. I came across to my "Best country music" and at 19 min, I heard the chorus. I didn't know the title of the song. I just wrote few of the lyrics. When I arrived home, I googled, got the title, downloaded the song, and listened to it a hundred times (still listening as of this writing). What a beautiful piece of art.

All these really old songs from my childhood just remind me of the love my parents had. They are divorced now(when I was 16, I'm 21 now) and I hate my dad with my mom on thin ice for all the pain they've caused me. But these make me cry remembering them slow dancing together and my little 5 year old self running up and wanting to dance with them and my mom would pick me up and hold me with one arm with the other around my dad as we danced as a family. It was so long ago and I don't remember my childhood very well because of their abuse but these old country songs and what I remember from when they we're good people makes me cry every time.

It leaves such a special memory that time cannot erase... Time will march on though. Songs can be a choice to be avoided. Memories can be pushed so far aside that one won't allow self to go there. And out of the blue - the radio reminds your heart, and the memories play back such sweet blissfulness. That the eyes cannot help but to shed tears - wishing for just one more dance. Thanks for sharing this. its great. my wife has a very active case of crohn's disease. after 4 years at the mayo and trying 5 different types of meds surgery is the only option left. let's see this august it will be 30 years we have been married. we did not do anything fancy or have a big wedding. just went down the dirt road to the justice of the peace when i was in the army. retired 20 years ok no biggie. LMAO. I believe all is ok but she has made me emotional now a days . i hate that and I think she loves it. Good tune Crohn's disease
