Man I felt myself wanting to plug just WATCHING that Bryan at 29:00 so obnoxious lmao, you handled it very well though! I feel like every character is super overtuned right now, hope to see some nerfs all around before TWT begins. Lili is actually in a good place this time aswell, her movement remains strong, and she's finally actually doing meaningful damage. My mains Yoshi and Paul are just a joke though, absolutely absurd damage on both, with good frames and barely any weaknesses 🤮🤢🤮

Thank you! I will be making some smaller guides for Lili, but it takes a lot of time to put them together. For setting up combos, its always the knowledge of tekken fundamentals - frame traps, whiff punishment, timing your counterhit launchers well...

How do you find Lili with the wr changes to the system? For some reason in T7 I always had an issue getting FF3 and FF4, I dont even know why, possibly my AK main running move muscle memory.

You can do instant ff4 and ff3 much easier now. I find myself landing jab into ff3 in combos much more often now.

Blind Lili player here. I just had a question about lily. It seems like doing the down forward 3+4 3+4 combo ender right after a bound leaves you back turned right in front of the enemy, due to how the new bound system works in this game. If I am correct, is that a good chance for oki? Like with back turn down 3+4 or back turn 3+4? It works well in lower ranks, but I don't know how reactable her back turned 3+4 is, because I'm pretty sure it's a pretty big animation of her leaping up in the air.

Df3+4 3+4 ender always left her close to the opponent. It has never been less viable than in tekken 8 though. In tekken 6 and ttt2, she would relaunch backrolling opponents with BT 1+2. Since t7 removed backroll, it was less viable but still OK for some oki like turning forward and hitting siderollers with something safe like d3. T8 introduced qcf1,4 which deals more damage than her previous standard ender qcf 1,2. So in high ranks, I prefer not giving up the extra damage from qcf 1,4. BT 3+4 is too slow to be used as a mixup. BT d3+4 is faster than it used to be, but still borderline seeable, and lili shouts - opponent can react to the sound cue. Another issue is that Lili doesn't have a "pancake flip" ground hit move from BT to reset the oki situation. So, the opponent can easily choose to not get up, eat the grounded BT d3+4 and then safely techroll. If anything, it might be worth considering playing around with f3+4 as an ender for some oki, or df3+4 into bt 1+2 as an ender, since she now has a strong pancake flip move in qcf3 now. I was playing around with bt 3+4 as a combo ender too in practice, but I havent found any consistent good oki with it.

I think it is because qcf 3+4 was a spammable homing move in T7 and her qcf mids were not as good. people were often ducking under it whenever they aw dew glide. Now qcf 3+4 was nerfed and mids from qcf were buffed.

His pressure is insane indeed, always has been if you dont know him. I have not labbbed his t8 stuff yet.... What helped me wa playing him myself for fun - I learned his strings and hes quite a fun character.
