God when they brought in the strings and the vocals, they transformed the music. Damn they are growing!!!!

It definitely is a next step in song writing. I'm used to symphonic metal bands who consistently write masterwork songs with full orchestras/choirs so it's certainly nothing mind bending. Good stuff though.

What blows my mind is just how awesome it is to find 5 siblings focused enough and talented enough to become the great band they are.

LILIAC has so much talent that you could get 5 kazoo's, 1 for each member of the band. And they would make whatever they played on the kazoo sound awesome!!! Rock On & Rock Hard!

I spent most of my young life on California beaches. If I'm not mistaken that was shot at Bolsa Chica State Beach, located in Huntington Beach, California. I spent countless nights on that beach around campfires, friends, singing around the campfire and roasting marshmallows. You need to see LILIAC's video vlog on their YT Channel on how they ended up there, it's a great story,

Very well done my good sir! This is my fav song. You had some great observations throughout. The shaking of the camera near the end almost allows you to feel the power of her voice. It was a great effect and I was stoked you took note of it, not many seem to. And when you started talking about Melody’s singing, restraint and breath control. My first thought was, just wait for the end. And you recognized it there also. This really isn’t that old, well a year I guess. But considering it’s from their latest album still seems recent/relevant, to me at least. They do have a couple recent vids out. One from the same album as “Sail Away” and then a Dio cover. I’ve seen several others already mention them in the comments. Look’n forward to more Liliac reactions from. Your def worth watch’n. Enjoy! Fang4life! RO&RH! 🤘😎🤘

It is a collaborative effort when writing music. I believe they said the video was shot in California and was recommended by, I believe, the person that did the drone footage for them. The videos are edited by Sam.

They all collaborate writing the songs with Melody writing most of the lyrics at least she did on Sailaway , Papa Liliac does most of the cinematography and Sam does the editing . There is a behind the scenes video on the recording of this song well worth a look . There's also 2 short video clips of our girl Abigail drumming away with her signature illuminating smile that will make your daughter's day . The fangs welcome you back and will be waiting for your next Liliac reaction . . Fang4life RORH

Almost wrote you off because of your last reaction to them. Glad to see you back, however apprehensive. As for the writing, it's mostly the older 3 with Papa Liliac. Melody has been doing the baselines and vocals, however Papa Liliac has said Ethan will be starting to write the baselines with the next Album. Papa Liliac wrote the string parts. I've seen a partial score on Instagram, and am amazed he has no real formal training. If you have a speaker set up. For added enjoyment, put your hand to it, especially during the March. You can actually feel what Abigail is doing with the double bass. If you do Dear Father especially with that one. The strength and coordination she has is just fantastic. I had a friend in the 70s that embraced the double bass and he wore a kidney belt. Really have to be strong. Just a thought. Liked your reaction. Hope to see more Liliac. May peace be with you and everyone. Stay safe. God Speed. FANG 4 LIFE! RORH 🤘 🦇

And yet when the video dropped,, nobody mentioned it nobody noticed it except..... me. Just sayin. 😜😊 For a long time. And still no Reactors mention it. I'm looking forward to seeing him move on up to a 6 string bass.

And for your next new song checkout Dear Father which was filmed at a historic site. I went to there Harrisburg concert and they are phenomenal live band.

Melody writes most of it but the others give their input. I don't think they do a song if they can't all agree on the lyrics though. Family vote so to speak. They would most likely give you an interview and not just Florin. The whole family has done interviews for a few reactors and other people. You should ask to get an interview with them and your daughter might even get to talk to Abigail herself. I'm sure that would make her day.

Hi HB glad to see you back!! Isn't that kinda fun though see your daughter destroy the drums? Abigail has broke a ton of symbols herself Lol learning to play isn't that the fun part? Lol

You have good insights and a good ear for picking out things. Floren to me, is one of the better producer/engineers in music these days. Especially for rock and of course his kids. I really love the sound he gets out of Abby's drum sets. Which doesn't stand out as much in this song but most of the other videos the drums are so punchy and tune up so well too. Their always something I notice. He's got a special gift for mixing and getting each instrument isolated frequency wise and also panned just in the right spots to hear them so crisp. Now that you've gotten back to Liliac, I'd like to remind you to also get back to Courtney Hadwin, another old school soul in today's younger artists who you've listened to twice with her rocker side. This song will show a different side to Courtney's many sides. Hope to see this one sooner than later.

@@HistoryBuff Sorry about that. This is a Tina Turner cover done Courtney's way of "What's love got to do with it" which is a little more subdued kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYG8lodrrdJ6mMk Or this, if you like Courtney at her very best vocally doing a cover of Miss Li's "Love Hurts" NOT Nazareth's cover. Heavy in the rock/blues genre. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKK9m3eIjd6rhdE The audio is trebly due to being played through laptop speakers and into a cell phone on her live chat she did. Here's a better remix but still not studio quality and without video just a picture of her. But many believe this is one of, if not the best vocal performance from Courtney yet. w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F961326172%3Fsecret_token%3Ds-5w502xBUr51&color=%23ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true&visual=true%22%3E%3C%2F%3E%3Cdiv
