This is the song that drew me in when i first saw it her voice!!! Melody is goods friends with Dio's drummer Vinnie Appice. He has a band called "Vinnie Appice Black Sabbath Knights" she sang at one of his shoes in his band and did like a 5 song set you can find it on youtube and or it might be on their home page. He has said that she is RJD reincarnated hence I believe he gave her the nickname "Meladio"

Good morning. It's Liliac weekend! Everytime I look there's more! Fantastic reaction. They do DIO so good. Check out the Cancer Fundraiser tribute. I saw it first during the Fundraiser. Awesome! the covers are what first attracted me a couple years ago....i was rockin to iron maiden and the liliac vid for 'the trooper' popped up in my algorithm suggestion...i thought "kids doing maiden, no way?"....HA! my bad....i was floored when ethan dropped to his knees and started shredding....OMG....now, like many others, i patiently await new releases and chase reaction vids just to watch everyone elses jaws drop or eyebrows lift

Ronnie James Dio's other half, Wendy, asked these kids to play in this years cancer fundraiser. She assigned them The Last in Line. They KILLED it!!! Did RJD proud. You need to check it out. All of the kids are talented. Papa Liliac isn't lost in the gene pool either. You can go back and find some of his stuff under Chris Floren from waaaay back.

Fangbloodytastic indeed , you can see why Abigail has a collection of cracked and damaged cymbals ,she likes to beat the crap out of them . Your correct when you say Liliac put a lot of effort into their tribute covers they do but you ain't seen nothing yet before you leap ahead to their latest cover go back to their first music video of their version of Wild Thing when Melody was around 14 then The Trooper which features an 11yrs old Ethan shredding a shared solo .you won't be dissapointed .Fang4life RORH

Great reaction and dedicating the weekend to vamp metal. IMO Sam is a beast on the guitar and is becoming a legend in his own right. Abi always kills it on the drums. Ethan is becoming growing into a great bassist and Justin does his thing on the keys. Melodia I think has the perfect vocals for metal/rock music. Suggest you check their cover of Iron Maiden's The Trooper. I think you'll be blown away by Ethan. Lol. 🤘RORH

They always put everything into their Ronnie James Dio covers. Melody's inspiration is RJD who was introduced to her at 15. I think she said her Dad put him on in the car one day, but I could be wrong about that. She never was fortunate enough to meet him before he died but she did go to his grave and sing The Man on the Silver Mountain to him and the other members put flowers on his grave. Liliac- The Last in Line (Ronnie James Dio Cancer Fund Tribute), Wendy Dio personally asked them to do this and Vinny Appice (Dio's former drummer) gave them an unreleased extended version of the song and they had 1 week to learn it, they shot it in their house basement, was a Facebook live stream, and guess who showed up in the chat and was impressed? Lzzy Hale from Halestorm, then later she let Melody interview her on Hangin' & Bangin' in which Melody was guest replacement host for Vinny Appice. Vinny Appice called her a reincarnated female Ronnie James Dio.

Rainbow In The Dark is what started it all for me. It showed up randomly in my Facebook feed, my first reaction was "kids doing Dio? That takes guts!" When it started and I could tell Melodia was the vocalist..? She had me at "When there's lightning..." That night, I binge watched everything Liliac I could find... Been fanged ever since...

Liliac did make a club/crowd participation song kind of like an anthem called Crazy Nights, but it's so freaking catchy that I don't care if it could be played in a club.

Did you notice that at Rocklahoma, they had all those seasoned rockers in the audience who were clapping and repeating singing with Melody? A 19 yr old had all those older people following her like.... well like loyal fans. And most of them there probably didn't even know who Liliac was. smh That makes me so proud and I don't even know them personally. lol

@@cristyrawks6325 Yeah I did notice that, but there was one guy who didn't clap when she said clap your hands but then he started really getting into Sam's solo, he was in the front row, old dude with a beard I think it was. I also noticed The Mad Shad in the crowd. You're also right that most of the people there probably didn't even know who Liliac was, but I also noticed there was a ton of people that stayed for meet and greets with Liliac.

If Sam started playing guitar 8 years ago, that would have made him 14 years old, and he's this good, he's 22 currently, this cover was a couple years ago I believe. Speaking of guitar the keyboardist Justin 13 years old is learning Rhythm guitar that Ethan used to play before he switched to Bass after Melody gave up Bass to focus on vocals and hand gestures.

I was told by a Sawtooth rep that Justin is learning on an LP Jr in his favorite color. So I don't know if they supplied a special guitar for Justin as well. But that would be so awesome.

It might be possible that you never hear a bad Liliac song that you don't like, I've heard pretty much all of them so far, and I can't honestly say I've heard a bad one. Do you know how difficult that is for a band, much less one this young?
