I have actually seen food prices go up. They might have slowed down on shrinkage of food portions some what. The inflation rate is all smoke and mirrors, same with the cpi...they move them back and forth to look like it's generating a lower percentage. If you have extra freezers or cupboard space stock up now! Cause their going to use both of Canada's rail companies to jack up food prices in this country if a strike happens! Don't forget the more we pay for everything, the bigger the intake of taxes the government collects off each dollar! The government doesn't want inflation to end.... it's all B.S. They want it for extra play money and all the false promises the Liberals have given us!

Historically we have been getting poorer since 1945. A dollar was worth 100¢ then. Things were not cheaper than now just because a loaf of bread cost 10¢ in 1945. The introduction of debt finance and giving a private corporation the exclusive right to print money for profit disguised as interest slowly bled us to subsistence living in the 21st century. After the test run on government spending and corporate finance they gave us credit (DEBT) cards. When our dollar is only worth 5¢ and you’re in debt, it’s subsistence living. I don’t care how good you think you have it or how rich this country is. It took 75 years to create this and we never saw it happen because it’s cross generational and a slowwwwwwwly introduced death. And we have how many billionaires now? And a PM who can gift a $9M condo!?

When you also tax energy usage at every level of production and distribution of goods, you will drive up prices because business pass on the cost to the next level... which is then subject to another energy tax. Look at a gas bill where you pay HST and PST on top of the carbon tax. It is tax on tax. The carbon tax is a misnomer. It is an energy tax that is used to redistribute wealth. Inflation may have been significantly lower if we didn't have this tax on tax scheme.

I am not against backing Ukraine. As a lover of history , I only need look back to the 1930's and Hitler. He armed the country and started his expansion by invading Poland etc. Meanwhile the world sat back watching and dithering. We all know what came next. Putin is the modern version of Hitler and the Ukraine is only the beginning of his plan . His dream is the return of a state like the USSR with all the free countries back under his control. That cannot be allowed to happen . Help Ukraine or watch WW3 is next. Want to save $ in this country, quit allowing millions of people comlng here who just live off our tax dollars. They live better than many many who were born and worked their whole life in Canada.
