I'm so disappointed in our government, for not recognizing how international aid has frozen these people in time, supporting them in their generational terrorism effort. If there is anything to be learned from Oct 7, it is a cautionary tale of how well meaning foreign aid can be hijacked. The reason Hamas is hanging on, not surrendering, is because that foreign aid pathway is so lucrative for them. At this point the conflict is all about keeping Hamas in that pathway.
