So true, and sadly so. I was so excited to be living in Canada when I moved here just 7 years ago. The "Trudeau" effect still hadn't kicked-in and, in retrospect, the country was economically coasting from the Harper government. I really thought I could build a future here. What's crazy is that Canada is as blessed as any country could ever possibly hope to be. I live in the west and we have such an embarrassment of riches it's almost beyond belief. Agriculture, mining, energy in both oil and uranium, forestry, fishing, tourism. We have every industry that produces real wealth other than technology (and I exclude manufacturing because it's basically dead in the west anyway). No big corporations are here anymore outside of the resource industry. That's the fault of government policy. We should be absolutely swimming in money but instead we struggle.
