A bonafide classic of British pop music. It's great that Steve is showing Lilly such a wide variety of music from decades past. So many of today's young people know nothing other than what is in the charts and they are missing out on enjoying so many wonderful songs, bands and singers, it's such a shame.

You're showing Lilly the real classics now ! This is a fabulous hit from 1964 . A song of unknown origen but a fantastic version . Glad Lilly appreciated the instrumentation as well as the vocals. 😀 .

Part of the British invasion, the great Eric Burdon on vocals and a very old blues song. Looks like Lilly liked it, it's a classic for sure.

Absolutely loved Eric Burdon and the Animals when they first hit the music scene, pretty much bought all their albums. This is one of the most popular cover songs from them. Loved this band and even when they disbanded, Eric had some great songs..One of my favs was " Sky Pilot"..a bit long but damn good.

Is Lilly getting subtle early Christmas reminders in there? Loved the "how dare you" look when you questioned her instrumental talents! Great song and another great video

Remember listening to this great song when i was very young on my Dansete radio. The key board player is Alan Price who had a good solo career of his own songs including Simon Smith and his dancing bear and the Jarrow song he was born Washington co Durham.

I remember those songs by Alan Price, but I didn't know he was in The Animals

My dad met the animals in the mid sixties. He said they were all great guys, apart from one. Alan Price. He said he was an arrogant so and so.

A great British band :) I offer a challenge for you and Lilly to react too. Based on what Lilly picked for you to listen from her collection. 4 songs from Pet Shop Boys, but not the usual go to's. #1 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6axc32hgbGhhdU (Watch the lyric video closely /// circ. 2020) #2 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4Swp3SLgLJ_f5o (just beautiful - makes me think of my daughter Caitlin, who turns 11 today 22-Aug /// circ. 2003) #3 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4XKkK2secxmjtE (dance with a rap /// circ. 2013) #4 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/maeXgoGKnJaAptU (Your Grandad might get the references, and still going since 1981 :) /// circ. 2022) Do you both accept my challenge, from a retired 90s club DJ?

To be honest Kav, I'm not a fan of the Pet Shop Boys, I can tolerate their music, but I couldn't say I like it. Doing all four of those is a challenge I would probably have to pass on. That's not to say Lilly won't like them though, which one would be your first choice?
@DJKav25 күн бұрын
@@Lilly8Listens No worries, from what she picked for you to listen to. I'd have to go for #3
