Our mind is an intricate house filled with secrets, stories and levels. In the rooms of that house live our voices, the ones that whisper to us throughout the day. Being a good person doesn’t mean you don’t have evil voices, it just means you’ve learned to navigate through them. We all have these voices that compete within us, contradicting each other, trying to pull us in different directions. Your ego fights your loneliness. Your desire for love fights your insecurities. Your silly ways seem ideal until your mind opens to those who are suffering around the world. We’re constantly hearing our voices and therefore it’s in our best interest to befriend them. But true strength lies in deciding which of our voices govern our actions and which ones define us. It’s not about having voices in our head, it’s about what we do with them. These are my voices.

This song is an emotional roller coaster and an accurate depiction of what goes on inside our heads. The doubt, the confidence, the need to be loved, left alone, comforted, all of it. It is truly difficult to figure out how to drown out the negative voices, or to even use them to make a change for the better and become stronger. Life is a never ending battle with yourself and your emotions in the face of it's challenges. How we deal with these, will alter the course of our lives and determine what kind of a person we will become. I have been through a lot in my life already, there was a time when I was almost completely broken, I refused to see anyone, I refused to eat, I was a shell. But eventually, with the help of family and good friends, I broke through to the other side, the voice of strength and reason came ringing loud and clear in my ears, I had found a new will to survive. And now I make it my life's mission to give to those who need it most, and give them the same will. You Lilly are truly inspiring, and I can only hope to be half as good at it as you are.

I think it's cringy not only because it's a KZbinr who is trying a "music" career, but she's also greedy for money. KZbin released a policy where you can now make even more money off of videos that are 10 minutes or longer. They released that policy pretty recently. For me the first four voices represent the different voices in my head. The last one, however, is what my heart says. As if my heart wants the voices to stop being so selfish and pay attention to the problems of the world for once. But that's hard. It's hard to stop being so self-absorbed and focus on the big problems out there. It's like my voices are in my comfort bubble and my heart says I have to put myself out there for once. Anyway, that's just me. Lilly you're so talented and I know you won't respond to this (maybe not even read it) but I want you to know that you're so inspiring and beautiful, and girls like me (I'm 14) should really listen to the messages you're putting out there. Confidence to the point of arrogance Dissatisfaction to the point of self hate Self love to the point of selfishness Happiness to the point of denial The first four parts are extremely well done and beautiful because they embody a root feeling that the mind exaggerates naturally, but the last part is truly a masterpiece in every way, shape, and form. The base feeling is not rooted in all people (although it should be)- it's a sense of humanitarianism, which in the song, does not get unhealthily exaggerated, or expressed in a radical way. It shows the world in all its darkness, but brings in the light of awareness. It may be hard to take in, be we are indeed, our own problem.

I love how, actually, none of the voices are wrong. They all just are a part of who we are and need to be listened to, only not unconditionally. The 'ego' voice can keep us motivated and ambitious, in order to achieve our goals, but at the same time it can make us selfish, obsessed with numbers, feeling better than others. We get high up on a very lonely throne where no one is on our level. The sexy voice can teach us confidence and how to love ourselves. But it can make us superficial and trying to fill a void while keeping people at a distance. But it can also wrap us in this cold feeling called depression and make it nearly impossible to reach out of our self-built walls for help and connect to others. The voice of compassion can give us a precious and powerful drive to change the world. It sparks a fire that can make amazing things happen! I am honestly shook, like it took me a full 5 min to gather my emotions after this. I can’t put everything I want to say into this comment, but I can say that I have an even deeper understanding of who Lilly is as a person now. I love how real, raw an aunthentic she is! Most of all the video shows team super and the world that Lilly is human just like us. What she has chosen to do with the gifts and talents that she has and does continues to amaze me and everyone around her and it rises her to a place where people look up to her.
