I was a bit disappointed to have it basically confirmed to be a guest character when they said they were announcing it on TGA, and I didn't really know Clive at all to know if people like him or not. But looking at the trailer in slow mo kinda hypes me up. He really does look cool. Close enough, welcome back Miguel with sword. Season 1 DLC felt a bit unexciting apart from Heihachi hype and unexpected Clive, but I can forgive it since it's only the first year and most eyes should be on the base game. Huge agree that Eddy and Lidia should've been base roster.

I am 50/50 on Clive being in Tekken 8, I am extremely happy that Clive is in Tekken 8 because I Love Final Fantasy XVI, I even got the platinum in FFXVI, but I am also very disappointed because Clive was the one character I said since Tekken 8 launched that I did not want as DLC, it should have been Tifa or Johnny Cage/Liu Kang from MK, the interaction between Jin and Clive was cool though

Every skills Clive had from his game is basically copy and pasted to his moveset here in Tekken8. and goddammit it looks so cool because if you've played FF16 you'll notice these similarities and it'll make you feel like you're actually playing FF16 but in Tekken combat system. every move cutscene has the same effects, same camera angle, same everything from FF16 into Tekken8. Nonspoiler version: A royal knight turned man of the people after surviving a kaiju battle of two eikonic gods at Phoenix Gate (same place as this stage) who happens to find out he can channel the blessings of these gods himself. Game's got a few hour long prologue available for free if you want to know more, and I can't recommend the game enough. Bit dialogue heavy especially if you sidequest, but the combo game was so strong I wanted to play it on a stick if it wasn't for the camera panning.

His second form, is a Primal. In FF16, pretty much there are certain people with the essence of the primals. Ifrit is Fire, Shiva is the ice skills, Titan is the earth, and I think it's Odin for the lightning skills. :)

Not really. Yoshimosui is a sword fighting character and has been around since Tekken 1. If its the same fighting year on year it will get boring quick. The game needs to evolve and make the necessary changes to stay relevant. Furthermore with the new 3D projectile weapons and abilities. This could bring the Tekken X Street fighter we wanted closer to reality. Akuma already worked in Tekken 7. Just a matter of time when we get Ryu ken ect.
