These versions of songs with the vision that Peep had are much better than the commercial version and make it something more special and unique. RIP LIL PEEP 🪽

Usually yes but this one’s a definite no. This is not better than the other version. It’s got it’s moments and I appreciate it being available, but there’s a reason he never wanted to release some of these songs or still wanted to work on them first.

Lil Peep's label FAE wanted Peep to experiment with more "pop" sounding songs compared to his "grunge" style. In turn, this is what we got with the three-song EP. Unfortunately, after Peep's passing, Smokeasac (one of Lil Peep's close friends and producer) was tasked with reworking Come Over When You're Sober Pt.2. Chances are, FAE instructed Smokeasac to alter the entire record to sound more like a pop album. With the COWYS Pt.2 and Hate Me EP og versions, you can really hear the songs how Peep left them. As a huge fan of Peep since early 2016, I can say I really feel Peep's unique presence through the original versions. It just feels more like him. Rest in Peace, Gus. We miss you so much. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to music. It's truly changed so many lives, including my own, for the better.

To me this version feels way more like pop than the actual version. Also just doesn't feel finished. Really missing something that was added in the COWYS Pt.2 version.
@ryzenpeak9 ай бұрын
@@prod.byniclas the unfinished feel is what makes peep songs peep songs lol, the rough mixed and experimental songs from peep are always the best imo I do agree as he progressed he got more professional sounding and it sounds great, but the little roughness left is still part of the specialness. I personally haven't liked anything since COWYS PT. 2 the rest of them have been "Officially released" songs ive been listening to for almost 8 years or corpo over produced mid. This version of hate me felt way more intresting to listen to idk something about the production makes it feel off when the vocals are crazy compressed and overly edited. Also while this feels like pop more its also more underground and the instrumentals line much better cause its what he sang too not "reworked" versions.
@tacoslegit15569 ай бұрын
@prod.byniclas3245 I agree it sounds unfinished but it literally is. The album version was just cleaned up to sound "finished" even tho it really wasn't.

to this day i still have not had such a vivid memory of someone who had passed, even extremely close family members. I remember it so clear, standing on a street near a lamp post and we gave eachother a really tight hug, then proceeded to smoke a joint while telling me everything was going to be fine. He stood there grining so hard while looking down at me and I couldn't say a word. Just froze and woke up with the imprint of his smile in my mind. This was maybe 3-5 days after he had left us. I still just can't wrap my head around it. I knew things were going to be rocky when I had seen him go from his colorful look, to all white. I knew that the clock had began ticking. I just didn't know it'd be so incredibly soon...

Good Lord this beat is sick as hell. Peep in so underrated. His music was there for me during the darkest period of my life a time I never thought I would see the light again. I was heavily addicted to methamphetamine and on a course with death and I remember those long dark nights when all I had was his music. Even though I was way older being a fan of rap music I decided during those times to try something new so I came across the kid named Lil peep and I fell in love. And the way his life ended due to addiction man so sad.
