I remember listening to Peep so much back in late high school/early university when I was in a bad place in life. I used to be able to really relate to his songs and lyrics but I'm happy to say that I don't anymore, but I still listen to him every once in a while with an indescribable proudness of him. I always wonder how he would be today. Now I've got the career I wanted, great friends that I have had since elementary (and stuck with me through my downer personality those years ago), and more. I am so happy to say that I am happy now. I know it sounds cliché, but anyone reading this that thinks they'll always feel terrible, or have nothing going for them- you won't feel like this forever, and you will one day look back on those days with a real respect for yourself.

I got to meet Peep briefly after a show in Seattle in 2017. I felt like one of the oldest people at the venue even though I was in my mid twenties. He was a really sweet and polite kid. It broke my heart that he passed about 3 weeks after that. I quit Xanax the day he passed. shortly after a good friend at the time went to rehab and when she got out we got matching crybaby tattoos. 7 years later I am getting married, have my own company, and am a home owner. recently I was helping a friend get fuel for their boat in BC Canada and the kid working the boat fuel station had the cry baby tattoo in almost the exact same spot as me. Its almost like a bond I had with him right away. we didn't know each other but because of that tattoo we had an understanding and made the experience fun. Liza if you read this, your kid was awesome and such a pleasure to briefly meet. He brightened my day when I needed it, and even after he passed his music helped me process a lot of my life while finding my way. thank you for keeping his legacy alive.

Wow. Reading these comments breaks my heart. It's so sad seeing how much people have gone through a Peep phase which has already ended for them. How many people say they used to listen in early high school or whatever and nowadays these people have their own families, careers and yet Peep still stays the same age and year as he passed. I read someone’s comment about how they used to listen to lil peep when they were depressed and now can no longer relate. Well I wanna share my story, the flipped version. When I was with my ex, he was really into lil peep, and I had just gotten out of depression. But we were addicted to drugs and he would always shoot up dope to “Falling 4 u.” And it really was depressing and I didn’t like it. Well like 3 or 4 years later, and a lot of horrible life events later, I’m back in a dark place. I love listening to Lil peep, and I feel like he’s practically the only one who can relate to me at this time. His songs describe how I feel so well. And even though it’s dark, it matches how I feel, and makes me not feel so alone. I think Lil peep was a literal musical genius. I’m in awe of him. He was so young too. Long live Peep!! We love you
