Exactly! People naturally take the path of least resistance and want to get from A to B as quickly as possible. Which is why colleges normally have dirt paths straight across the lawns on campus from years of students ignoring the landscaped paths for shorter paths lol. If you do a winding path it's important to have an obstacle or terrain that would make that curved path necessary.

This is such an awesome and unique idea for a build! I downloaded it and actually managed to turn the bridge into a functional cat tunnel by replacing the screen door on the catio with another cat door, then using the glass awnings from Get Together to cover the top of the railings. Had to remove the desk chair for some reason to get them to use it, but now I get a real kick out of watching them run through their little tunnel. Thank you so much for this build!

I love this house so much bc yellow is my favorite color and I have 4 cats, but I really think that there should be a human access for the catio; one of my cats is a 16 year old ragdoll and she needs assistance sometimes because her joints are old and she needs help to be cleaned, so it would really suck to have her get stuck where I couldn't reach her. Of course, this is the Sims so it doesn't really matter that much lol

Mama cats always find their way into strange places to have their kittens. April of 2022 friends of mine went into their basement and found a mama and her kittens had moved in. (their basement is a converted cellar so there is a doorway to the back yard which happened to need some repair work) They of course fostered them, adopted one (they already had three) and helped find homes for the rest. My cat was one of the kittens. He's a handful sometimes. Still has that kitten energy inside his adult sized body.

Bedframes and Cats, I cannot agree with you more. I never intended on getting a cat even though I have badly wanted one so have a beautiful tufted headboard and frame…. Well I became a momma to a furbino who is gray and I’ve named her Bruja (Brew-Ha) and she has fallen in love with the footboard and headboard… I have tried breaking her of the scratching and she has gotten better but my poor bed has suffered, while the cat tree remains untouched… *sighs*

Watching simsie worry about certain things that my cat is specifically trained not to do reminds me how much of a blessing it is that I know how to train my girlie. I have so many very poisonous plants that are out in the open. Not only is my cat trained to not nibble plants (I grow foodstuffs that are a no go for her) but she's also trained to not jump on counters, and the plants are on counters. Not to jinx myself but we've never had an issue of it before. I'm also not dissing simsie for worrying about these things whether her cats are trained or not. Better safe than sorry

6:09 i just realized that shutters can close, i live in a neighborhood that was all built at the same time and the hoa has the houses look almost identical, and we have shutters on the outside of all of our windows but i’ve never seen anyone close them before. I mean, there’s already screens on the windows so if you want air you can just open the glass, and if you want shade people just use curtains.

okay because I'm a nerd and a cat lover I'm gonna look up if the flowers in Romantic Gardens stuff are poisonous to cats- Poisonous: lupin (moderately) iris (mild to moderate) thistle, delphinium (mild), Not Poisonous: hollyhocks (but contact with damaged hollyhocks stalks can cause irritated skin) and roses sunflowers are also safe for cats

Many moons ago, back in the early 2000s I saw an episode of some show where they showed a house that had a whole cat tunnel system in it (like the kind for hamsters but cat sized) and everything. Having a home like that immediately became a life goal of mine 😂 Unfortunately, I'm now an adult that thinks things through (gross, I know lol) and I cannot imagine the nightmare of cleaning all that.

I feel like a good tip for terrain paint would be doing the curve of the path as the same curve of the house and the things around it. Where you put, it pretty much is going the opposite direction of the curve of the house. Hopefully im making sense when i try to say this 😅

Delphinium is real! It it incredibly toxic to both humans and animals but it is one of my personal favorites. If consumed, it can lead to paralyzation and death, but can improve breath quality when treated properly (:
