I really like this! The "blue suburban" is always incredible, but I think you are limited with basegame only. I can just about guess exactly what furniture you are going to use. As a viewer I much prefer seeing these unique builds. But ofc you do you and we'll all love it so long as your passion is there! xx

This house is honestly super on point! As someone who also lives in Florida and grew up on the gulf coast lemme tell you these houses are ALL OVER and their flood insurance is insane! I’m talking 10k+ a year at minimum with a built up house and standard dock 😭

You actually can wohoo with one side of a hot tub accessible! Start by having one sim enter the hot tub and select sit here on another seat so the second sim can enter, then use the romantic interaction once both sims are in the hot tub together

looove this build, gives me the vibe of we're rich so we booked this beachfront airbnb or we spent our entire budget on the honeymoon and had a courthouse wedding, both are valid af, if you want a dream honeymoon with pics and memories to think about forever you do you, this very much gives me the vibe of the place where people want to make all the memories, its just so picturesque, dangit now im mentally planning a wedding for my simself on the beach in tartosa and then honeymooning at this house in sulani XD

there's this one snowy escape wood swatch that i absolutely love to pieces because it looks like yakisugi, or fire treated cedar. it's kind of a blonde wood with dark wood grain. looks just like the effect you get when you brush the carbonized bits off the yakisugi. it's more often used as siding because the wood has to be thinner pieces in order for the heat treatment to fully penetrate, but it's hard wearing and the formaldehyde in the smoke prevents pests from eating it. it's a beautiful traditional craft and it was really nice to see since a lot of the furniture in snowy escape was pretty minimalist rather than traditional.

My sim’s just got married and I made the mistake of choosing the officiant to be my sim’s stepdad who is also a B-lister so during the entire wedding there were fans just standing around the arch and fainting so my screenshots just have random people surrounding the newlyweds

I live in the north area of the West Coast and according to my previous comments about it so do a lot of other simmers! Must be our weather keeping everyone inside. Or Seattle just has a ton of people. I know Sulani is a tropical place but to me, living by the ocean sounds cold and windy. Nice if you overheat easily and fly kites, I guess!

The comment about sims always swimming past weddings made me think of how apparently at my parents’ wedding, they had it on a beach, and they had this one pier reserved, but other than that it was a beach belonging to a hotel, so like… you couldn’t really stop people from. Existing on the beach. And so apparently in their main wedding photo their photographer had to like. “Photoshop” out a jetski that was right behind them (but this was the 90s so it wasn’t actually photoshop lmao it was like physical photo editing) But if you didn’t know you wouldn’t notice lol she did a good job 😂

If you are in the US and want to feel like your on the ocean you could move to one of the states with access to the Great Lakes. One of the mottos for the great lakes is "No Salt, No Sharks, No Worries" All you would have to deal with is the snow in winter but no hurricanes.

Oh no. Maybe the weird/bad beach lot routing explains why a lot of people, including me, can't break open lava rocks that fall when your lot has that volcanic activity lot challenge. I know it's worked for me on non-Sulani lots before, so I've just been using the cooled lava rocks as decoration. lol This apparently isn't a mod related issue either.

Hey Kayla, I had an idea for a build challenge. In the same format ad the "each room is a different ___" you should do every room is a different number of items. Like you use a RNG and whatever number you get is how many items you HAVE to use in the room. If you get 1, you can only have like a chair or something in an empty room, or if you get 30 you have to try and cram 30 items into a room and make it look nice!

Heh, Island living is my favorite pack, and part of that is that I literally HATE winter. So I try, almost every time, to have my Sims live in any other word, but after the first winter I just have to move. So like 80% of my families end up in Sulani and the other 20% end up in Strangerville; the only two worlds with guaranteed warm winters.
