you need to delete the whole lot to edit it properly, moving the front of the house at the sides, it's so irritating, also that green roof at the back/side you can't delete it or change the color until you delete and replace

The Spencer Kim Lewis household is an eye-sore, but a you-tuber named Sahm_and-Bean mentioned that it would look nice as an Art Deco style, so I renovated it with that in mind. It does look much better. If you do that house, I'd recommend looking for a similar inspiration image online first.

I’d hate to see it turned into a more traditional house like I see so many creators do. I always took it as a more modern renovation of an old home but maybe not too recent so Art Deco makes perfect sense. I’m going to have to try that myself.

I really like what you did with their house! Great job! My only extra wish would have been an extra room for their son Iggy (and I wish they would update the base game to make him part of the Pancake household by default because I keep forgetting about him myself too! 😅). But that would have added an extra challenge to this and I think with you being sick, you already did an outstanding job! If you plan on doing more townies home renovations, I'd love to see you work on the Roomies house. I never play with them but a freshly renovated house might do the trick 😉 My second choice would be the Behr household, I always fix up their house if I want to play in that family 😛

Most houses in NZ have the toilet in a separate room with a window over the toilet for ventilation. I tend to build similar bathrooms in the sims so they don't complain about other people coming in while using the toilet or shower.

I made their house into two townhouses with for rent because I always thought it seemed like it was way too big. Bob has a bedroom on the lower level, and Eliza has one upstairs so that stayed the same. Then they had neighbor/tenants and everyone seemed generally happier lol. I don't play as them but I see them out and around interacting with their neighbors and it's really nice 😅

I love seeing how people approach renovations and refurbishments of base game houses. I wasn't prepared to upload it, but I love the mismatched refurb I did for this house in my main save; my idea was the house was something Bob inherited, and Eliza ended up having to move in suddenly early on in the relationship; Bob had done nothing to the old house,and Eliza is determined to modernise it, so the whole thing clashes terribly, but it tells that story.
