Hello I am a top 500 Harley main and just wanted to help point out a few things that he didn't point out in this guide. Harley has her ignite which racks up a ton of damage in combos. the ignite stacks when they take knock back, so when you use a move like short hop fair it will try to carry them with you so you will get small bounces off of the floor. even if you do this strait after a bomb so they only have 1 confetti stack this will instantly pop the ignite. Even if you aren't in range of the floor for the small bounces you can use your 3rd hit follow up to push them away normally gaining a floor bounce if you are closer to the ground. This will give you an instant pop of ignite. Another thing is that you can chain your Fair into your jab combo, now a lot of times Fair into Up tilt will have more benefits for juggle follow up. if you do the fair into jab it will carry them more to the side then depending on their percent it is still true for the 4th hit of the jab combo which is the up tilt. this can be more useful for lower percents OR if you have a jack in the box farther to the side you can use it to carry them into it. When he mentions the fact that Harley will take extra damage, to be exact Assassins take a 14% more damage that normal. this is to compensate for their insane damage output and kill threat. One thing that i like to do with Her Up tilt is that you can charge it , so what you can end up doing it fair start comboing them all game to condition them to the quick up tilt, then if you catch them dodging through you a lot you can just charge it to get that hit off even stronger, if you are able to get it to be fully charged it turns multi hit and a lot of people will dodge the first part where she swings a lot but then get hit by the delayed swing at the end. it is very cheesy and should not be relied on but it is a small little strat that I have found through playing. Another thing with the Smooth moves sig perk is that you can dodge then instantly side special this is an extremely safe way to recover, do not do this a lot though be cause the side special has a lot of lag before the shot so if you keep doing it people will just punish you for it. but if they are going for an edge gaurd off stage it is very safe to dodge side special. back to the Fair the 3rd follow up has a very strong angle, so it is a bit difficult to learn to do it reliably because fast falling can make you miss quite often. Dont get greedy for Nair for these horizontal kills. It is a slow move that is extremely easy to dodge instead you should try for down air spikes and fair pushes for these off stage kills. This is an extremely good guide Lilsun is the goat when it comes to platform fighters, there is a few talking points that his guide went about differently than mine so if you have any thing else you are curious my guide may be helpful. Make sure to watch this video first though as it is an amazing guide.

Dude, Harley was the first character I unlocked with gold and I was ridin' the struggle bus until I watched this guide. Now I'm leading in damage (average over 400 dmg per match) and knockouts every single time. Subbed 'cause Lilsun knows what he's talking about. Harley’s fair has a follow up if you press the button again. She does a backflip and blows the opponent back. It sends at a devastating semi-spike angle and does good knockback, making it a really strong option for horizontal offstage kills. Another thing about Harley’s fair is that it combos into jab, and jab 2 is jump cancellable into fair. This lets you loop fair > jab 1/2 > fair > jab … for big damage. The only issue is attack decay sets in after a few loops. However, you can get around this by throwing in dairs between jabs, so you can get fair > jab > fair > jab > dair > fair …

Tips with Harley: her recovery kills, her hammer definitely kills and it is a chef kiss edge guard her spike kills a well. As a level 16 Harley I learned alot and I respect Arya players much more because she's just a advanced version of Harley another tip is to use those perks that make you fast on the ground with Harley. Harley die early in 1v1 and 2v2 I use kryptonian skin in 2v2 and 1v1 but just use perks that matches your playing style kryptonian skin the best defensive perk with Harley thought also mix up your approaches with Harley because alot of people can predict you by the way your moving especially in 1v1 do this with every character because the game highly encourages it with the added fact of attack decay.

I gotta disagree with u about Arya being more advanced Harley I am level 20+ on both Harley and Arya and the things that Harley brings to the game like her zoning tools with bomb or hammer is something Arya can not get. Also in my opinion Harley combos were way harder to learn then aryas

Harley tip from a lvl 18, attach a sticky to yourself and go for high damage, high whiff time attacks, people are terrified of that sticky and I don't know why.

not sure if it was mentioned but harleys bomb can save her from dying off of the bottom and side blast zones if it is stuck to her. useful for when you get a stock in 1s for example and you have 100 % against an enemy with 0.

If your high damage percentage use jack in a box while your close to the edge to force your opponent to jump iver the ballon to get a free up heavy or they'll have to go through the jack in the box which you can lead into a combo

Number 1 harley combo: Slight x2 Jump sair Slight x2 Jump dair Jump/no Jump Slight Repeat BUT it won't always work from the start and you may have to repeat the Slight sair a couple times to get close enough to hit the dair true. The controlling dair perk is really good to practice it in game and is also best defensive perk. Confetti perk is the best offence considering harley kills better vertically. Just don't use the side air heavy dodge perk it's not useful at all. Make sure to adapt all your combos and try not to constantly reuse the same combo again and again. Learn the bread and butters and you'll be golden. Learning to use the nheavy bomb and the dheavy trap to set up kill combos is also a really go idea

Just started with her today and the game today as a matter of fact and wanted to immediately jump in with her. I went against a Jake 6 levels above me second match and won with a lot of uppercut combos (jump, up hit, jump, up hit, spike into gun blast whichever way) and it seemed to work fairly well. She’s been a ton of fun and prolly the first fighting game character I want to “learn” so this really helped hone what I needed.

Harley on sky arena feels so hard the top blast on that stage is ridiculously high up imo. It makes harley feel really inconsistent since that map and haunted mansion is hard for her to kill on.

One thing I love with the teddy bear is that if you stick it to the opponent you can get a free approach with it by popping it when ur about to rush them and use the knock up to get a free combo

Here is a tip: If you are on controller and having trouble juggling people because when you try to hit up you accidentally hit to the side, you can use right joystick up to eliminate any chance you hit to the side and not up. When just using the left stick and square (PlayStation layout)it might register to the side and not up.

Just picked the game up and have been playing Harley for hours against friend. I like throwing bomb to either stick myself or my opponent for pressure because I can detonate then combo off of detonating bomb without having to up tilt them or juggle them first. I’ve been able to land bomb detonate to up special which I believe is a true combo and can kill relatively early. Or even bomb to any aerial at non kill percents.

Harley was my first unlock and so far I've only been KOd at 185 damage and up not sure if that counts as dying early but even above 185 damage I can still recover even from big hits. Maybe it's not supposed to be this way but I pointed it out to my buddies I play with and we're all able to get out of being launched by simply hitting down movement in the air even works for me if I'm being juggled so most games I'm able to not get KOd even at 200 damage

Depending on where you throw the bomb, they go the opposite direction. If you throw the bomb near a person’s head and explode it, the enemy will be spiked downward. On the legs, it will bounce the enemy.

Somthing I didn't do for a while was using dodges mid air while chasing and juggling. Since Harley doesn't really have competition when below, it's easy to forget that you can use them to stall mid air or even chase sometimes, especially during shaggie rage mid air.

Use your neutral special its a great combo starter and can be used as a kill move by attaching it to your opponent and then using an aerial combo and setting it off to launch your opponent into the sky barrier

Super late but Batman feels more like using the batarang to limit your opponent's movement to get an opening then start suffocating them up close and personal with his aerials and tilts. Harley's game is about using boxes and aerials to play neutral til you prop up the opponent to go for the vertical ladder combos

One bit that's different on the air and the ground with her side-special. You cannot reverse the direction of the dash after firing if it's done from the ground. The reversal is air-only.

So far, my experience with Harley has been that she's very weak. She's my most played character and there are some matchups that are very difficult just because she can't beat out that many hitboxes, her moves are slow and just can't get away. So my playstyle has developed into a more keep away style. Using her Neutral B to make people move predictably and using her Down B to cover jump ins. Not necessarily running away though, just keeping the opponent in a mid range where you can open them up to juggles safely. She is queen with air to air combat.

She's a zoner-funnel character. Her fair is pretty high priority as well as her hammer-normals. Jackboxes and mines force them into approaching a certain way and place yourself to punish at the entry point. She's the one of, if not the lightest character which makes her very bad at challenging anyone swing-to-swing. Bait & Punish, force them to approach, pepper them with mines and false approaches to get them to extend. Generally assassins thrive on advantage, not priority. The Keep away style thrives under that principle.
