I remember watching a documentary about lilly Allen, and at the time she wrote this song, her sister were never on good terms and didn't talk that well for many years after she listened to this song that lilly wrote to her, they immediately forgives each other and lived happily after (or so it seemed) they decided to go in partnership with a vintage clothing store called Lucy in Disguise (based by a Beatles song) where Lilly put in most of the capital the strain on there bond and the bussiness were taken there toll. Lilly and her sister Sharha which is one of the main reasons why she had a few years brake and also wanted to take care of her babies. In 2014 the Allen sisters closed the rental clothes shop after being a massive flop and filed for bankruptcy. She then came back in the music industry in mid 2013 with a new studio album, I think its safe to say that both sisters are still friends=)

One thing I love about Lily Allen is her open expression of her emotions. It's quite notable how her opinion stands, but asides from that I love how she displays her emotions will glass, unfiltered and transparent. I didn't realize the great lucidity of this song's lyrics until now, but I feel such a deeper admiration in her. I always felt an interest with her and her music but this song particularly touches my heart. I know that I don't know her full name, her full story, her greatest fears and dearest memories, but she definitely does not feel estranged to me either. I feel this song with a strange sense of familiarity, almost as if she read my diaries. I felt this way to my older sister, I admired her so much to a point where I envied her, it caused me deep down emotional pain over the years while also modeling into unjustified anger. Deep down in my heart I know Lily is not a stranger of this if she were truly the one to write this song. It amazes me how we may not know each other's fundamental info, but what truly matters is the connection between those.
