The main piano melody itself plays like the story of a relationship. Starting out picturesque, romantic, and melancholic, so much potential and anticipation (where will it go?), but ultimately resolving dark and sordid. And then the cycle starts over. And thus is romance.

@jessicahainesmusic5 жыл бұрын
The accent you hear is fake. Her parents are incredinly posh and Lily should be posh too. Her dad went to boarding school. Lily tries to sound all London, dropping tees and aitches but it's all put on. Like musical theatre/panto cockney. Sounds like Kate Bush on "There Goes a Tenner". Tries to emulate people like Hollie Cook. Talentless. Rich daddy bought her a pop career presumably after she got bored of ponies. I'm only here because I heard the piano sample in an episode of Kitchen Nightmares and thought the chords were interesting. Was an ok piece until she started wittering on all over it "like innit innit innit yeah I'm well London innit like". Seriously, go to work, woman.
@michaelclark57325 жыл бұрын
A bit harsh@@jessicahainesmusic . Lily Allen attended Bedales private school but also 12 other schools. She also lived in a council flat, possibly due to the erratic income of her actor father Keith. I don't think he or her mother could be described as 'posh', whatever that means. She is not untalented. Some of her lyrics are excellent, and her trick of putting sad lyrics to catchy pop and lover's rock tunes works well most of the time. Anyway I don't care how 'posh' she is, I enjoy her songs!
@kittyelgato42464 жыл бұрын
@@jessicahainesmusic You are so rude that one should not even grant you the kindness of an answer if it weren't for the falsehoods you drop like nothing. Lily Allen grew up in certain difficulties, that made it impossible for her to live the easy life you picture. A reality not only confirmed by herself -whom you seem not to judge truthsworthy-- but by her brother, too, and the fact his father never had a great income. Whether his father had a voice into her ascent to stardom or not, it cannot be denied Lily Allen has a talent of her own, that you may not enjoy but that's not anyone's fault.

The music is from the film "Emnanuelle" ( 1974) composed by Franvis Lei and sang by Pierre Bachelet: " Melodie le corps d'Emmanuelle...". The film was revolutionnary for it's time. A time were love making was joy and a celebration of life unlike the steril times we live in. Lilly's song means nothing to me but the melody...was my youth.

Now my kitty cat is four and still falls asleep to this- but I see her relax the minute she hears me sing this just like those 4 years ago. I’m not sure how long cat memories are but something about me singing this song makes her fall asleep like nothing else; I’d like to think this is some nostalgic memory that brings her back :)
