I didn't think much to heath ledger in this particular movie, not his best acting but for me I'll always remember him as the joker!! Wow what performance, I didn't know it was him who played the joker but his acting in that batman movie was something else, this dude was real talented, nobody could play the joker better than heath ledger, and I mean absolutely NOBODY!! Infact I don't really like any of his films and don't think much to his acting but him playing the joker was definitely a role that brought out his true potential, dudes an absolute genius!! Such a shame he's no longer with us, he needed more roles that was challenging like the batman movie, I know he was working on a sequel as the joker in the batman movie but quess we'll never see it

They never started work on a sequel. They were still in post production of The Dark Knight, when he died. Editing, and what not. Had he not passed away, he might've been in The Dark Knight Rises. Then again, I don't know if he would've wanted to do a whole other film as the joker. If that were me, Id be too afraid to try, and outdo my performance in a whole other film.
