Yeah. I’ve been watching Esme for years and things have changed quite a bit. We just need to remember that she still has a life apart from KZbin and might not have the time to keep filming and I doubt that when she is 50 she will want to keep filming videos aimed at the younger equestrian world.

There was a tiktok of someone responding to the person who was hating on Esme and it was a really good tiktok, I saw it on KZbin somewhere. I can agree with you guys on literally everything you said, I think you both have very fair opinions and are giving some feedback and just pointing things out without being hurtful to the influencer. I really enjoyed this video, thanks for posting.

going on about raleigh, she sent her 100k instagram followers to attack and come at me and my account with under 1k followers because i rode my friends shetland (which i wasn’t over the weight limit for with tack and had clearly stated it in the caption) but continued to have her followers hate on me

I truly don’t think she realizes how much the things she says impacts others. Her following is VERYYYYY VERRYYYYY passionate about her opinion and what I’ve noticed is that most don’t take the time to do there own research they just hear Raleigh agree and proceed to bash people. What ever she says goes with her fanbase and it’s dangerous. When she mentions a name in her videos her followers will bash and harass said person. The amount of hate she spreads is not the right way to spread information about animal activism. Lately a I’ve seen a lot of her videos about disciplines and she has actually called out a discipline I ride in, I will agree abuse happens but just like every other discipline unfortunately it occurs that does not mean it’s ok to deem the whole discipline abusive and have your army attack small creators while the truth is you know nothing about what your talking about. Coming back (sorry for my rant) no one knows how much you weigh unless you tell them and has no right to attack people about it. I’m so sorry that happened even if it was a year ago sending love to you ❤

I'm right there with you on most of these "influencers." :D Love your advocacy for those of us putting their riding out for public viewing. It's not easy to get over the vulnerability, especially with all the hate that seems to spew naturally out of some equestrians.

Honestly, at first, I really liked Raleigh's videos, but over time I realized that her entire subconscious intent was only to bash people and not educate people on how to do better in a way that is compassionate enough for any onlookers that may have made those same mistakes to constructively learn... As an educator on tough-to-digest topics, I know firsthand that unfortunately, approaching problematic behavior with an attitude like hers can actually be more damaging to the cause at hand than saying nothing at all. "I talk about people I hate" as an entire character summary is honestly not healthy lol. I am afraid to know how many people are actually worse riders that dug their heels in because Raleigh was on a rampage and had no consideration for human error or empathy. I don't mind having a controversial opinion or even being a bit harsh about something serious, but when it's so consistent and constant that you're actively potentially putting the community at risk by preventing the people who need to learn the most from feeling safe and accepted enough to learn, It starts feeling a little bit more like a personal agenda than a service to the community. Like does she actually want to help people or does she just want to be able to tear people down? "Bad people" don't improve by being called bad people. If anyone reading wants a better example at how someone can constructively criticize problematic animal care or handler behavior, Emzotic has a few vids reacting to bad animal TikToks where she is very conscious to make sure to not react to them so rudely that it could put off somebody making the same mistakes from correcting them. There is a conscious effort to balance acknowledging the problem *and* preventing exacerbating it as a result of personal projections; this is absolutely a requirement in functional, safe, and effective community education. Last but not least, friendly reminder to all that being mean to people who treat people or animals badly instead of referring them to help *can put the people or animals they treat poorly at higher risk of more or worse abuse.*

Little late to the party, but I really liked this video. I find it refreshing to hear someone that feels a bit like me, especially about the sponsorship posts and videos. I don't know the last account, but it doesn't sound like someone I'd watch. i don't watch Harlow etc because I think her parents are using their child to make money, and I think that is pretty disgusting. A little child shouldn't be coached to read ads and have their life filmed. I agree with most of what you say, but I liked Elphick Eventing better before she got famous, there's too much sponsorship things, and the videos where she isn't so polished and things go a bit wrong are so much better as they seem more real... I had(have) a youtube channel for 5 yrs, all very real everyday life, and people just didn't watch, so I don't think people want real...

I like esme, but I 100% agree about her Instagram but I’d love like you said, more actual riding stuff and less produced. So much of it is just sponsors and ads! One thing I love about Meg is the fact she’s sponsored buy shires, a affordable brand that caters too all.
