Personally I don’t think it was pointless, it’s to show how human the androids can be. I mean we saw that little girl as human for the majority of the game until that twist and it really made u think about the story that this game is trying to tell.

@@riann7707 Not pointless, but it is very stupid. IMO keeping Alice human allows the story to ask more compelling questions. Could humans and androids unconditionally support each other? Is a child's opinion on androids something they grow out of? How will society view such an arrangement? How does an android "mother" cope with the idea of having to watch their "children" grow old and die? The twist just asks "If you can't tell the difference, can you love an android like a human?" Which does tie in with the other storylines, but removes the unique dynamic Kara and Alice's story had. It also retroactively makes the past events weird/feel like a waste of time.

@@misatai5457 After watching a couple youtubers play, I disliked how they thought of the game at first because they didn’t view Android as humans because after knowing that their just robots they couldn’t see any other way. After they found out Alice was actually an Android tho, their perspective changed quite a bit. That’s why I really like that twist, because it has people thinking of it from a different perspective. What’s the difference between androids and humans, obviously they’re made in different ways but they all feel the same and that’s kinda the whole purpose of it.

I’ve only see 1 person succeed in the Connor ending part on their first go and that’s because the first time he ever met Amanda he didn’t know where to go so he ended up exploring the whole world and stumbled upon that blue stone so he knew where it was at the end, also I’ve never seen someone kill Luther and north in those options there’s obviously other opportunities to get characters killed but I hadn’t seen someone chose to leave north after they’ve become lovers 😂

This game reveals a lot about the player. (Keep in mind the following is all hypothesis.) Michael is not as horrible as he appears. In truth he is actually empathetic. He may have issues with his parents. He is insecure about keeping up his image, and is very curious. He is however still ruthless with his choices. If he dislikes someone, he will not help. However this may be overruled if he relates to, or feels pity for the individual in question. He also love relentlessly messing will Lilly.

The reason they had that was to show how androids can seem very human and to show the exact problem this story is telling you. We all saw the androids as androids because you can tell. With Alice though, she just seems like a lost kid and as far as I can tell she seems to have broken through the programming as well from the abuse.
