The comments in your next video were turned off, so I thought I’d suggest the name “Stumpy” in your favorite language for the dog. 😊. Your projects are always very cool. I admire your talent.

Im looking forward to seeing something on the T-Glass. I have one and cannot understand the focal length. It needs to be so far away to be readable until you reverse the prism it feels like.

The hexagon unscrews for mounting in a round hole.
@iHayri16 ай бұрын
I did unscrew the bottom to look inside but did not go further. When I took off the "rubber" ring I saw quite a few tiny snap connectors that seemed to hold the top part of the encoder in place, and since snap connectors are easily broken I decided, after finding out that TPU is not expandable enough, to make the cut in my ring to put it on. I will try to go further from the bottom and see how far one can take it apart.

I meant the hexagon ring is a giant nut for mounting the whole unit in a panel. :-)

@@iHayri1Going to try the ring if you can send the link, and I will try to cast in silicone.

Can you tell what device is on 15:16? Large encoder? Who makes this?

It is the MaTouch ESP32-S3 Rotary IPS Display with Touch 2.1“ ST7701from Makerfabs

That encoder is gorgeous, but I struggle to imagine a use case scenario which doesn't include a bunch of useless fluff.
@iHayri16 ай бұрын
It could be used for pretty much anything that needs input control with visual feedback. I have a few ideas whirling around my head 🙂 As you said, it is gorgeous, especially after my mod, if I may say so myself 🙂of course the Amoled is really great, to just leave it and not use it anywhere.

Print it in pla or petg, and then cast it in silicone. 😊
@iHayri16 ай бұрын
That would be cool, unfortunately I do not have the required filament and no silicone, but thanks for the idea. maybe one day I can expand my inventory, since I am interested in silicone casting and also epoxy resin, to make some cool electronics 🙂 Take care.
