Oh Lily, my heart aches for the lost of Penny's sweet babies! I had hoped the grey tabby would pull thru, but I guess it was just too weak from being malnourished! RIP little ones. At least Penny pulled thru and looked great in the end. Hope her adopted family gives her all the love she needs.

The sad part is, they don't have to go through the pain of having litters, not being able to find food and giving up, and losing their children. Spaying and neutering is so important. Thank you Lily for your compassion. I know that poor, young mother tried to feed her family, but the competition is rough and tough, and she had to protect her babies. Unfortunately, human compassion found her too late to save her children, but it saved her. GOD bless you Lily for all you do!!!!

Thank you for rescuing the mother and her kitten, sadly loss of the kitten will give the mom a better chance to survive. She can barely nourish herself. So get strong and healthy, Penny and know your kitten days are behind you. Hopefully you can live your life in better health and safety.

This is a tragedy that didn’t have to happen. Whoever put those babies in that box, out in that plantation, knew what was going to happen. It could have been avoided if they had just left them where they could have gotten help. I’m happy that the mother cat is well. She’ll have a good life now. It’s a shame that her babies couldn’t be saved.

Watched this one through tears. Poor Penny, not much older than a kitten herself by the looks of it, and loosing her babies like that. Whoever dumped them there should be ashamed of themselves, it's unforgivable! But thank the Goddess you found them when you did or Penny may not have made it. Poor Penny, only very young herself, being abandoned by heartless humans when she needed their help the most! I cried at the loss of baby tabby who was too weak to survive and the sad look on Penny's face when she saw her last kitten was dead 😢 Thank you for trying to save the baby Lily and for nursing beautiful Penny back to to good health. There is at least a happy ending for Penny with a safe future in her new home without hunger and the future trauma of giving birth 😺🙏

I HATE how people cruelly abandon cats & kittens! Many years ago, our dog led my Dad to a sweet, fluffy kitten on the property. She was maybe 10 weeks old but had obviously been someone's pet; she was not feral. It was winter; cold & snowy. She would have starved to death if she hadn't been found! What kind of person abandons a kitten like that in the countryside, especially in wintertime? She never grew very large but she brought joy to us for nearly 16 years. I'm so glad Penny survived and now has a forever home. The world needs more people like Lily in it!
