I love Ghana Police. The worst the Ghanaian Police can do to you, for instance, if you broke traffic rule, is to impound your car, and make you pace up and down after him, saying oh Officer...oh Officer. The mean one will close the day with you at 4pm, and you will ‘inject’ him with some GHS10.00. That one koraa is not bribe ooo...it’s for malt to cool down the hot heat. Largely and averagely the Ghanaian Police is cool.

Why is this an issue? Name one country where there are no petty thieves. It is more common in western countries. Here in the US, the police will laugh at you if you report a missing or stolen phone. The US has the highest number of imprisoned people but it will seldom send someone to jail for stealing a phone, especially if he is not a repeat offender. Most likely, the person will be ordered to do community service or given a probationary sentence.

The answer is a big NO. Even if they decide to help the trotro mate, they will ask him to pay money(bribe).
