For anyone wondering, the reason they could get that whole episode of the Superman animated show in is because it's actually a part of the public domain. Superman as a character is still privately owned, but the 40s show itself is free for anyone to use and stream. Only thing off-limits for it is merchandising rights and selling rights (because obviously you can't sell a public domain show). That basically means anyone can recreate a new animated show based off of the 40s version of Superman without legal action, so long as it can reasonably be proven that you taken only from the show and your own creativity, and not from any more recent iterations of the character. It'd be a hard thing to prove if you were to make a continuation of the show, but if you were fully remaking it and THEN decided to continue with more seasons, that would be perfectly legal.

I should add that the reason for the show being in the public domain is because the series was cancelled after 17 episodes, handed off from the OG studio to National Comics, who then later stopped renewing the copyright license for the show, making all 17 episodes fall directly into the public domain. It probably costs an absurd amount of money to take back the license at this point, which is likely why it hasn't left the public domain after all these years.

i love that lily's on a horror kick lately. i really relate she's playing the game "to feel something", i was really bad with horror stuff but about 5 years or so ago i was super depressed so i started watching a horror movie just to "feel something", for about 2 weeks i watched 2-3 horror movies a day, since then im used to horror stuff lol. i realized there are super fun horror movies and games ive missed all this time and horror community in general also good given its not that big as other communities such as fps and the like.
