It's been twenty years, the bones may still be the same but Limerick has become a multicultural, thoughtfully designed city I want to come back to. Shame about Bewleys going that was always a before work meeting place. Nice video!

Limerick city centre in the 70s and 80s seemed a lot busier, you could drive into town park for free, do your shopping load up the car then go and see a movie and maybe have some sausage or fish and chips, collect the car and go home. Streets were busy and you always met someone you knew. Today you can't bring the car to town so everyone goes to the shopping centers in the suburbs. Local politicians getting paid to ruin the city, killed off the friendliness and replaced it with bus lanes and concrete barriers and traffic wardens. Ah well that's progress.

Very beautiful. Can someone help me? I want to come with my Polish wife. How much is the price of renting a house, and is there work?

I currently live in this city. Unfortunately, there is a massive housing crisis at the moment and renting and buying houses is incredibly expensive :(

They can't afford the parking fees, Everyone shopping in Shopping Centres outside the city. Plenty of parking spaces and no fees!

A totally bland ,dead space ,with little or no character or beautiful Architecture. I am Limerick born.Never go there. Cant compare with European cities and exquisite Architecture..Sad to say.

I loved it when I visited. Great historic places like the castle and cathedrals, the rugby experience and thomond park. The milk market was amazing. Walking along the Shannon was majestic. Some great pubs with great character and food. Great museums and art galleries and street art. The park is lovely. It gets enough bad press from outside the county and I know Limerick people have put a great effort into improving the city so it's pretty sad to see a Limerick person writing something like this instead of joining in with those people and being positive. From what I've seen, Limerick people are generally proud of their city. I'm from Galway.
