This beautiful limestone floor was looking grim, the old sealer had worn out and muck and grim were ingrained into the surface of the stone and grout. No amount of mopping would clean this floor, it needed stripping, cleaning and resealing.

It may look pretty, but it’s virtually impossible to for me to maintain. As a housekeeper, I have 2 showers that I simply CANNOT successfully clean. Soap scum sticks to it, and the only thing I can remove it with is a razor blade. The surface is pitted by nature, so taking the time to scrape without snapping off the corner of the blade is frustrating. I’ve worked in one very dirty shower for nearly 2 hrs. Wouldn’t be bad if I could truly tackle the task. Neither of these showers were sealed properly so the edges have a constant 1/2” wide stripe of black mold that I cannot access. it’s like they used some sort of silicone that was inappropriate for the job. If it sounds like I hate the thought of limestone anywhere near water and soap, you are exactly right!
