Limit Google Form Choices Based on Capacity!

Hey, thank you it works really good. Is there any way to bring back one option, if someone selected the wrong answer in the form? I would like to use it to book meetings, so it would be nice to bring back time slots, that get free again.

Hey there’s a very interesting problem. Let me look into it. For now though the only way is to add the option again manually in the form , then increase the max capacity in the sheet

Hi - this was easy to follow to set up but my choices are not dropping off the form when capacity is reached. What am I missing? Thanks for your help.

If u refresh the form does it work? It may take a few seconds for it to reflect.

@BucketList60 hmm… so the sheet numbers (current enrolment ) are updated but the form choices are not updated everytime a form is submitted ?

Exactly. I tried a sample exactly the way you did in the video with capacity of 1. It logged the one on the response master form but didn’t take it off the form the next time I went to fill in the form. I tried it a couple times step by step through the video. So I feel like there’s a glitch somewhere. I’ve deleted the sheet and may try again with a fresh download.

Ok can u check what type of question do you have , multiple choice or dropdown? See if selecting the correct type of question in settings sheet solves the problem . I tried to replicate the issue and if my question is drop down but i put multiple choice in the settings sheet then the option will not be removed when full capacity .

Technically it’s possible with some adjustments to the code. How many questions are u looking at?

Was looking for ways to customized google form with multiple choices with limitation and came across this tutorial, super useful! My only question is, for multiple questions, besides Multiple Choice and Dropdown, could you add Checkboxes as well? Thank you.

Glad it helped! Checkboxes - a bit challenging as a user may choose more than 1 so it needs additional logic to process it. I will look into that and if it can be done without issues then I will reply here and update the template

if u wanna reset the limit , u can simply backup the old responses into excel and delete the responses in the responses sheet . And to clean up clear the numbers in the “current enrolment” cells

For checkboxes , it doesn’t work using this template due to the way checkboxes responses are stored in Google but good idea though. I’ll mull over that
