I love how they transposed it a half-step down for the tour, adds a whole lot more emotion, makes the intro sound a lot more hopeful than the original.

This was the original pitch! They transposed half a step up to match it with Up With the Birds and Hurts Like Heaven. In the studio album If you pay close attention you can clearly listen that Chris voice tone is a tad bit higher in Don't let it break your heart than in the other songs.

I love mistake on second verse where it should be "when you're tired of aiming"......but stays"when you're tried of racing" again. Makes it a unique and "human" version, absolutely brilliant.
